"The course lay out is OK. But, the drainage of the course has seriously something wrong and staffs do not have/ know how to handle in winter season. It was delayed today and seems like they don't have any plans what to do. And, there was rain about week ago and the course was so wet like rain yesterday. So, it was cart path only and didn't get the information because we start from back nine. Weather eas nice but, I don't think I will comeback again."
"Beautiful course. Awful experience and customer service. We booked a foursome this past Friday with friends that traveled in from out of state. One of my buddies paid with credit card when he checked in. I originally paid for me and one of my buddies on my credit card and then realized I had forgotten to pay for my other buddy so I walked back in and paid with cash (all 4 golfers paid). Kid behind the counter didn’t give me a receipt so we went on our way with no issues checking in with the Ranger on the first tee. Later on, we were finishing up a hole on the green and parked our carts on the rough but fairly close to the green. Mind you, we were told no cart path only holes and just keep them 90 degrees. Some greens had “no cart signs” near in which we obviously stayed on the cart path. This particular hole did not. Their head greens keeper/maintenance guy aggressively drove up on our foursome as we finished the hole and threw his arms up in the air and said, “Really guys?! You drove your carts across the green (we did not, also mind you while telling us we were parked too close to the green and we should be on the cart path, his cart was also off the cart path as close to the green as ours.) After explaining to him what we were told when we checked in, he drove off and didn’t want to continue the conversation. All of this could have been straightened out initially had he been professional about it and just told us to please keep our carts on the pathway when we were close to the greens. There would have been no arguments or complaints. The day after golfing, I received an email from golf now stating the golf course informed them that one of our golfers didn’t show up for the tee time and charged my credit card $70. After dealing with golf now, they informed me that I had to straighten that out with the golf course. Their manager called me back later and basically told me they had no record of one of our golfers paying, and that they only had 3 credit card transactions on file showing payment. I again explained to them that I paid cash for one of them because I forgot and ran in quickly with cash before our tee time. Waiting on a call back from them to resolve this because I don’t understand how their systems don’t clearly show y/n if golfer paid for their tee time and showed up. They clearly remembered our foursome due to the encounter with their maintenance guy on the green, yet continued to let us play even though one of our golfers magically wasn’t there/had paid? All this to say, we had a great time golfing but the experience dealing with the course, coupled with their claim that we tried to get one by them and have 1 golfer not pay (out of the foursome, we had one Marine vet, one army vet/current law enforcement, and one firefighter), was/is ridiculous and I won’t be playing there again. I hardly ever leave negative reviews on places but couldn’t let this one slide."
"Course is in excellent condition. It is a very good layout with some challenging holes that make you think your way through them. Highly recommend this course."
"Annette, Caitlin, and the team at Bristow Manor helped to pull of the perfect wedding of our dreams! Everything that we wanted, they helped us to make it happen. Our Coordinator Caitlin, is so professional and coordinated with all of our vendors. She made sure that we had everything we needed on our wedding day and made sure we ate! The venue is beautiful and the staff makes your dream come true!"
"Quirky front nine with a creek that you have to cross multiple times. Quite a few forced carries. Back nine is still a wetlands style layout but a bit easier I think. Quite a bit of room from left to right, just have to be careful not to hit it through the ends of the fairways. Good condition, zoysia fairways so the ball will sit up nicely. Greens were full and rolled smooth, bit slow. US Open style rough so that could be cut. Played in 4 hours. Good value too and probably worth a play if in the area."
