"We recently move to Northern VA after I landed a job up here that allowed me to be home with my family every night. We were days away from selling our house, so we decided to reach out to lenders and get pre-approved. Faye was recommended to us through our realtor. She got us pre qualified for a VA Loan but we had to put a large amount down. Although we had the funds to put down, we did not want to put that much down. My wife asked if there was any way that down payment could be less. Faye responded with “yeah if you make more money”. Mind you I just started with my company 4 months ago. We shrugged her comment off and decided to put an offer in to what we considered our “dream home”. A beautiful Ranch/Rambler on 5 acres overlooking the mountains. We did not get the home. The day we found out we didn’t get it, my wife reached out to other lenders. Turns out we could buy points and not have to put that large amount down, but only had to put down 60% of what Faye told us. Soooo there was another option besides Faye’s “make more money” approach. When we told Faye that we we’re approved with lower amount down, her response was “with your income?!?”. Imagine working blue collar jobs your whole life, serving 4 years in the military, literally fighting in a war, and doing what you have to do to provide for your family only to be insulted by someone behind a desk about your financial situation. My wife asked Faye multiple times if there was any way we could lower the down payment. She did not one time mention buying points. This option would have left us with more we could have put towards the house and probably would be closing on that house in 30 days. This Lender cost us a house that we really loved. The way she talked to my wife was unacceptable in any “customer service” industry. Constantly cutting her off while she was speaking with the words “No, no, no”. Needless to say I am very unhappy with my experience with this company. I feel as if they were trying to take advantage of our inexperience with buying a home and trying to maximize their upfront cash profit with zero explanation about anything."

"We had a bad experience working with Faye Strickler and ultimately chose not to continue working with this mortgage company. Her attitude alone does not align with "Integrity". If you are not an expert and know everything, do NOT work with her. She will never explain anything to you; her favorite response is just "no". She has no time for reasonable requests for explanations. She rudely pointed out and scoffed at our income multiple times when we asked for options for receiving a better rate or putting less down. We asked her multiple times what our options were to go about putting less down and her only answer was "make more money" in the midst of us putting an offer down instead of that we could buy down the rate with points. We tried confronting her and she refused to take any accountability for her short comings in getting us the best rate for our situation and therefore we lost out on a home because what we thought was our best offer was far from it. This company has only one other bad review... and it is about her as well if that says anything."
