"Whoever the the young lady was working the register today @5 pm w the blonde hair & green eyes.... holy cow. Talk about a rude. Brought my 13 yo son in for a hoodie bc he lost his at school. In & out trip, he knew exactly which one he wanted. Tried it on, put it back on the hanger. Simple. Got to the register, and she said to me "Are you buying this?" I said "yes, he likes that one." She said, "Oh, because I'm confused why you put it back on the hanger." (As she rolled her eyes) My son & I both just looked at her and then at each other, wondering if we did something wrong. She never looked up or even gave us a glance. It's like we weren't even there. I gave her my card, she printed the receipt, asked me to sign it & then handed us the hoodie. I said "thank you". And she said nothing. Not you're welcome, have a nice day, come back and see us, nothing. My family & I have lived here over 10 years. Been shopping at Coastal with my 5 kids countless times. Never had any of the employees treat us this way. I can spend $60 on a hoodie else where & atleast be talked to in a kinder way. But I live right across the street so its very convenient. The sad part is, its not even summer time yet. God help her when things really start to pick up. Made me question ever going back there again."

"I stopped by for a last minute birthday present for my boyfriend. I didn’t really have a plan, but Carter was so helpful! She helped me pick out shirts, and was always near for any questions I had. She was SO sweet and friendly, excellent customer service! I even saw her trying to help at the register to be more productive and help the line go faster. Just a truly good employee."

"My wife has been shopping at this ridiculously over-priced pseudo surf shop for years because her son loves name brand surfer clothing and it's convenient to where we live! First of all, one of the reasons I dislike this store so much is because they sic a sales girl or guy on you the moment you walk in to the point of overkill! They bug you the entire time you're trying to look around. What an oppressive shopping experience. Yes, they carry name brands, as does WRV and 17th Street Surf Shop. The main difference is that Coastal's clothing is so overpriced it's insane! Here's the real kicker and will prevent me or my wife from ever putting a toe back in their store. My wife bought my daughter-in-law a shirt and showed it to me that night. I told her she'll thank her, then put it in the back of her closet and never consider wearing it. It was definitely not her style. Therefore my wife took it back the very next day with the store receipt and asked for her money back. They told her that the owner's policy is never to refund a payment, a customer can only receive store credit! WTH?! The next day with receipt in hand and you're telling me you don't give refunds on returns regardless of the fact that it was purchased within 24 hours?!! Are you kidding me?! Buyer beware! Don't spend your hard earned money at this unappreciative, overpriced store! You can go right around the corner and get the same brand for 20% less or more! Plus the other local surf stores also carry their own name brand products and you can buy clothing at half the price! Save your $$$!"

"If I could give 20 stars then I would. The service I received was second to none. Shout out to payge, the store manager, for going above and beyond to get the items I Ordered. I’m from out of town and ordered several items anticipating to get them in time to wear over holiday weekend. She went out of her way and stopped by another store and picked up several items for me She was so helpful and sweet. Customer service A++++++"

"Sales clerk was very rude took my credit card, placed my receipt on counter then turned away, did say anything. Then we went to 17th Street surf shop and the girl was so friendly and helpful that I actually purchased a few additional items that I wouldn't have gotten since she was just so helpful and pleasant. Considered bringing my purchases back to coastal edge need to have better customer service."
