Reviews of Free People
"Poor and disappointing service at this location. Waisted a lot of time and money to try on a pair of pants to ensure I got the right size (this was especially frustrating because I am a single mom and the closest location to me is more than an hour away so it took extra planning and effort for me to go). Due to their mistake, they ordered the wrong pants…by the time I received the “wrong”, the pants I wanted and took all that effort to get…are sold out. When I contacted the store they were not at all helpful and offered no solutions…an overall very disappointing experience. I would have done better just ordering online the 2 sizes and returning the size that didn’t fit and never going to the store in the first place. I pretty much paid to try on pants I can no longer get. I should have read the store’s reviews before going…terrible customer service reviews and I understand why. Save yourself from frustration and wasting money and time…don’t visit the store…just order online. Im not sure about other Free People store locations, but the customer service at this location is not at all up to par with other brands at this price point."
"The associates did not provide any welcome greetings or assistance. Although they did repeatedly follow us around. Whenever we had questions we had to go find them. I felt very uncomfortable in this store. They ruined my excitement of the first time being inside a FP store. I didn’t realize I should have read the reviews before entering this store. I see I am not alone in my thoughts and experiences. The amount of money I have spent on FP items should at least guarantee a hello how can I help you. The vibe your brand represents on social media is not being displayed by your employees. Their style doesn’t either. I see now that maybe this brand caters to a audience I am not a part of."
"this was my first time going into this free people in my city, second time going into a free people at all. i am always super nervous to go into stores like this because i feel like all the workers are super stand-offish and judgey. i was very excited to go! when i went in, no one said hi and no one greeted me. i walked past all the workers (which were 4-5 girls) and they were all talking to each other and one was on their phone. i made eye contact and smiled at one of the girls (who complimented my sweatshirt at checkout) and FINALLY after 7 minutes of being in the store she spoke to me and said i could my dress at the try on station. at check out there were still no "hello" or "how are you today" from any of the other workers. after checking out no one told me to have a good day. i was handed my cash and i felt like i was not comfortable or welcome there and just ran to get out of their hairs. as i was leaving i did tell them that "saying hello and talking to customers is really good, i hope yall have a good day. just so yall know for next time." i really was shaking from anger because it is CRUCIAL for brands like this to have people on the floor or are WELCOMING and nonjudgmental and excited for ALL customers to come in."
"Hello, I had just left your store in town center Virginia Beach as I needed to return a top from you, I have been your client for so so many years to have this situation happening at this time . You have denied the most basic human rights to my so to use the toilet, you guy don't care for the most basic human rights. Absolutely and completely unacceptable. I am so so disappointed as I was so close to call the police to have my son basic need. I can't believe you guys are this way. I expect this email to go higher and also your immediate attention."
"My wife ordered a pair of shorts from them. First, they sent her the wrong color pair (which I've found happens often with them). They told her "don't worry, we'll send you the correct one." they didn't ask she return the wrong pair. This happens again 3 times regarding the SAME PAIR OF SHORTS and she still hasn't received the color she ordered. Now they've contacted her asking she give all the shorts back or she'll be charged for all 4 pairs. They've messed up her order 4 times, promising to get it right (still haven't) and now because they've realized they've given away four free shorts they're just now asking for them all back. From what my wife has told me they are overpriced so add on terrible/ inconsistent customer service, they just don't seem like a good company to do business with. Very sketchy"
