"I came into Truth Salon with about two-year-old overgrown balayage and fried ends. My intention was to go dark brunette for the winter. Michael and I discussed a plan for my hair before he started working and I am SO happy with the results!! I ended up doing a dark brunette demi color on my natural hair and we added matching tape-in extensions. I had never had extensions before and didn't even know there was a "tape-in" version, but I am obsessed with them! The whole process of applying the extensions took less than 45 min. "Michael is a gem! I’ve been going to him for a few years now. I generally do highlights and keep my hair short to medium length, mainly due to my hair being very fine and thin. During COVID, I experimented with red hair color. It was fun for a few weeks and I wanted to be blonde again! Michael, of course, made it happen. Not only was he able to get me back to where I wanted to be in just two sessions, he also did it without causing any damage to my hair. "Always a fantastic experience with Michael! He really takes his time throughout the process to ensure the cut and color are just right. For returning clients, Michael takes notes on your hair color (as any good stylist should) so that he can redo or improve that color the next time you visit. I’ve gotten my hair cut and colored at other places in the DMV before Truth Salon, and it never turned out that great. My mom and I have both been seeing Michael for 4+ years — we followed him here from his old salon.
