Reviews of Ruby Nails
"This is the second time I asked for French manicure and asked them to give me a skinny tip!! They keep saying they will do it at the end and still don’t do what I asked. The guy made my finger bleed from being too rough. My fingers still hurts from his filling. I won’t be returning. 2nd time I’ve had poor customer service and they laugh and talk about you in their language."
"I come to this salon a lot and normally don’t have any issues. Yesterday I went in for a new set bc mine had been on for some time. Instead of waiting for the old tips to fully soak off, my technician ripped them off with a fake nail. I mentioned to her that it hurt and she kept going. Once she got to my thumb on my left hand, she ended up ripping my real nail in half. It was a decent amount of blood and she said sorry and cleaned it up. I told her it was ok to leave that nail alone and not put a new set on it. she did anyways. it’s now the next day and my thumb hurts so bad. I didn’t want to ask for a discount bc I felt bad but she charged me $80."
"I have gone here a few times and am really disappointed with my latest visit. I got my acrylics taken off and the technician cut them off at different lengths so a few of my nails are more noticeably uneven. Additionally, as you can see one of the nails has the polish already mostly peeled off. This was a ‘gel’ manicure I got less than 10 days ago, and the reason why there’s more of a gap from the bottom is because the paint wasn’t applied to the whole nail (near the cuticle and side edges specifically) to begin with. It was either a poorly done gel manicure or I unknowingly received regular polish; it’s coming off easily with acetone but I don’t feel like arguing with them about it. Some other reviews have highlighted this issue as well. When I went to use the rewards card at the end of this appointment they said it wasn’t registered correctly and tried to just give me a new card. Since I already should’ve accumulated points on it, I asked for the manager who I knew had swiped my reward card before and said it worked. It was super embarrassing at this point because a couple of the technicians were rolling their eyes and it made me feel like a huge bother, even though the issue wasn’t my fault. At this point, I still thought I’d return to the salon, but with how the nails have been chipping this past week I’m going to go to a different salon. It appears this location is more expensive than some other places in the area with gel manicures being 55-65 (without tip) depending on what you get. I’d be fine paying that long term if the quality and customer service was better. :( One last point, I’ve read through other reviews about complimentary wine / fruit? I’ve never been offered either. I was always under the impression that wine was an additional charge. If it’s included in the service that would’ve been useful to know."
"DO NOT COME HERE. I got my gel nails done. The lady did not soak my nail off. Used a drill bit on my natural nails I came in the next day. My nails were so soar, they kept insisting to paint my nails I politely sad no. They told me they would not give me a refund. Day before Christmas Eve and just gave me a very hard time."
