"Came to salon for the first time. Very welcoming and relaxing feeling. The shampoo is breath taking If you need a style come on in to this amazing setting and get relaxed."
"Fellow Business Owner here who knows what customer service is, so much that I'm on TV every few months. Trust the BAD REVIEWS reviews that you see, they are accurate! If you are Black DON'T go here, completely racist, rude and unprofessional (as if this isn't my country). The few good reviews are not coming from us. If you think I'm lying look at how much alike the bad reviews are bc my experience was very similar to what others wrote such as Natalie P. My experience was much worst as I faced off with JUDITH who didn't care to hear what customer service and only wanted to argue with me who ended up with a $110 bill for a blowout (never again). After having my hair washed/wet & minding my business, I looked at myself in the mirror. JUDITH decides to come across the room and asks with an attitude do I still want my hair done? So in the Winter time, the Owner is willing to kick out a paying customer with wet hair to catch PNEUMONIA?! Like am I not allowed to look at my own hair that's mine, who does that? I had no clue what her issue was. I've been natural since 4th grade better believe I don't need her or her whack racist salon. Other reviewers wrote you can't ask questions or request anything bc they get an attitude, very true. She didn't care that I was a Business Owner either. I'm not even gonna go into detail about the rest of the experience as there was more, but not gonna give them my energy bc I'll continue elevating bc karma is real. WORST SALON EXPERIENCE, DON'T GO HERE- it's 2022 we chose where our money goes & only to small business that deserve it. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM HERE & JUDITH!"
"I’ve used to go here for YEARS and the manager randomly took over and it’s been god awful, the manager seems very racist and always having a rude tone! , I used to go there because a certain lady used to do my hair and when I came back one day to get my hair done my usual lady isn’t there and when I asked where she was at , the manager and everyone else stared at me, stayed silent and lied to me telling me my hair lady moved and she doesn’t need anymore customers. Couple weeks later come to find out I finally found my hair lady and she tells me they stole her money and treated her with so much disrespect and does everyone dirty on purpose. The manager is a cruel lady and for some reason the manager did my hair that day I came in for my appointment with my usual lady. I wanted bangs and she kept telling me my hair wasn’t good enough like her children’s hair and that it’s basically not gonna come out pretty and she did it and she cut my bangs wrong when I showed her over and over and over. I’m so disappointed this place just went down the drain and everyone thinks they’re better than you and just so entitled. There is sooo many other Dominican hair places out there, I 100% definitely don’t recommend Amy or this company whatsoever."
"Customer service needs service: I took my daughter with me to get a wash and blowout because we’ve had good experiences in the past here. When we arrived both stylists were pleasant and welcomed us. The stylist asked me if I wanted conditioner for my daughter and my hair. I was at first confused because it’s pretty normal to shampoo and condition before blowing out hair / figured it was due to language barrier and I said wash, condition, blow dry. Both stylists worked on our hair and then said we needed trims. I agreed. Our hair looked lovely. We get to checkout and we are told $210 is the total! I asked how that could be when I was there months ago and it was $120 for the same service I received today, minus the trims. She proceeded to tell me it’s my fault for not asking how much it was for the trims. That it was $50 extra for the both of us. When I asked where the other $40 came from, she said it was from the conditioner. Again, said it was my fault for not asking how much the service was. I said no problem, gave my card, watched her type in the numbers $230 and then when presented with the receipt, I see she adds another $20 to the bill. I asked why if she just told me $210 did she charge me $230. She said it’s because I paid with card. Again, my fault for not asking. Although our hair looks beautiful, please do yourself a favor and ask questions as you go here. The customer is always wrong!"
"I have been going here for years. I've noticed times when they have been in 'bad' moods but I never thought it was racial. Yesterday for Thanksgiving I went in and the stylist really burnt the back of my hair. She didn't even tell me and I didn't notice until I got home!!! I am so disappointed. She could of at least mentioned it. You know who I am, you should call and apologize. We could have at least cut the damage part and started over, anyone can make a mistake but that was just unprofessional!! I hope this was just a small mistake because I really have enjoyed the service for years, especially when Amy was there."
