"We were stranded on the side of the road with our travel trailer in tow. Our truck had overheated. We were towed by Tucker's towing, awesome service, to Whelan's. They were very accommodating. We were allowed to park our camper in their lot. They fixed our truck the next morning. And we were very happy with them. Very easy to deal with. Would definitely use them again if necessary, and highly recommend."

"Jim is an honest and reasonable mechanic. I would recommend using Whelan’s to everyone. We had our Honda Odyssey worked on in Chesterfield where they broke our AC. They said that it wasn’t their fault so we took it to Jim. Whelan’s found that the other mechanics had disconnected a wire harness to the AC unit. We had them do the 105,000 mile service on our Odyssey and they did it for about half the price of the dealership. They are great!!!"

"Reading the reviews, I know mine will be an outlier or removed since my review will not match the others. The appearance of the facility, superb, the friendliness and respect shown to customers, really good, the waiting room, great. However, the reason for the 2 stars are due to the following. I was told that my AC was low 5 ounces, it knew it was not, I asked them to check to make sure my compressor worked because I had just refilled my own with my own equipment. The front desk person said that my freon was low and the compressor worked and it was blowing cold air. The temp of the air did not change and what I asked them to check, the fact that when I pressed the max ac button the flow of air did not change and actually got warmer remained the same. Then I was told that my inspection was about to expire and they could take care of that, my truck had never had any issues. They came back with a list of 4 or 5 items that they said were wrong, the one that got me was my headlight needed cleaning because the pattern was not appropriate...... you read that right they wanted to charge me for the headlight being dirty. I said no to the 4 or 5 things and paid my AC inspection fee, with the issue not resolved. Again, Friendly, courteous, clean facility but you will pay for that facility."
