"Huge variety of beers. Fast friendly service with indoor and outdoor seating - some with a fire pit!"
"This is my hometown local brewery. Small, but located directly on the train tracks running through town. You can sit mere feet away and watch lots of passenger and freight trains roll by. The beers are always inventive and tasty, and it functions sort of like a test lab for the larger Center of the Universe brewery down the highway. The staff is always friendly and the clientele is always good."
"Great little experimental brewery, around 10 different beers available on tap. All their beers are unique and brewed in small batches as test brews for the main brewery, center of the universe. Located right on the train tracks, they have an indoor/outdoor seating arrangement. Plenty of room for the whole family. You can relax and watch the trains go by as you sip some one of a kind beers. Highly recommend."
"This is a pretty nice microbrewery in Ashland VA. According to their web site this place was built for research, development, and teaching of all things beer and they do have some interesting types. Although this also means they're changing so don't assume the one you liked will be there on your next trip. Anyway on our stop they had 8 brews on tap. All of these were lighter beers and no porters, browns, stouts, etc. The one I personally liked the best was a Pineapple Whip, which was very good especially on a hot day. This place doesn't have a kitchen, but there are nearby restaurants for food. They do have indoor and outdoor seating areas. The front outdoor area is pretty unique with trains passing relatively close. Overall a nice place to stop by if you're in Ashland VA."
