Joseph's gracious hospitality and genuine care, evident from our first call, set the tone for a warm and welcoming experience. The cabin was cozy and charming, with a fire lit upon our arrival. Meals at the inn were delightful, complemented by generous pours and engaging conversations. The short walk to town and proximity to Snowshoe struck the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience. The peaceful winter scenes and mingling with fellow guests added to the overall charm. We left the inn feeling immensely grateful for the respite and generosity from our hosts. A wholehearted recommendation for those seeking a tranquil retreat, and we eagerly anticipate a return in the future!"

"Stayed at The Cabin for a long weekend. Took day trips out to Snowshoe, Cass, Green Bank Observatory and Nature. Great location for this as Marlinton has a few restaurants, grocery, etc. The cabin was nice and has what we needed for a basic weekend of exploring and trying to get snowed in, exactly what we needed to refresh. The included Breakfasts were excellent and took the stress out of packing for meals. Joe and Vanessa were very nice and accommodating and excellent cooks! Sad we were not able to plan for one of their steak dinners."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Locust Hill. Vanessa and Joseph are wonderful people and were super accommodating. It was a nice beautiful drive from PA. The property is very cute. We stayed in the Stardust room and it was very comfortable. We took advantage of activities on the property - fishing, badminton and cornhole. The food was excellent! We definitely will go back and want to try the cabin next time. Thank you!"

"This is such a special place. The owners are such nice people who made us feel so welcome and cared for. The food is wonderful. We had a delicious dinner of sirloin kabobs and wild rice. The breakfast is big and so good. We had a great weekend exploring the area and coming back to stay at this lovely inn. We hope to return and bring more family with us."

"After looking at the website, I called and spoke briefly with Joe. He had such a friendly, cheerful voice which made me look forward to being guests at Locust Hill Inn. We literally spent 2 days in (Almost) Heaven! What a perfect name for this lovely, relaxing room with such picturesque views. The staircase to the room built our anticipation as it was charming and pleasantly color-coordinated. At the top of the steps, my husband and I were struck with the spaciousness of the room. The decor was so inviting! It was country, yet elegant and cozy. Even the bathroom was a treat. Besides having two shower-down-upon-us fixtures above us, there was SO much room as we stepped up into the "shower room." Just around the corner from the sink was a rustic dresser with a built-in sink! I felt so fancy using it. The king size bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious; attractively set out on the bar and then we sat at a cozy table and could enjoy conversation with the other guests.The grounds were amazing! The lush green grass, gorgeous trees, and outdoor games. This was the best vacation I can remember and I wish we could have stayed longer. The only real regret was that we couldn't enjoy a dinner at Locust Hill Inn....we were there during the week. We are planning to have a family reunion there and possibly rent the cabin as well as the rooms."
