"I was looking forward to visiting this store during a crawl but was immediately turned off by the signs and stickers in the window for conservative politicians and pro-military propaganda. I imagine a lot of other book lovers will want to stay away too. Edit: owner seems antagonistic and sloppy based on other reviews and their unhinged responses to them. There are so many lovely used-book stores in Hampton Roads that actually want your business."

"Updated: In response to Book Owl’s reply, it was 2:56pm on a Saturday, well before 6pm. If you are not open, maybe turn off the “open” sign and have a voicemail/sign stating if your hours do not match the ones online or on the door as no one answered when we called about the locked door. We drove 45 minutes to visit the store and we’re very disappointed to find the door locked and to have our calls go unanswered. Original: Went to visit, but wasn’t open. All lights were on (including neon ‘open’ sign), but the door was locked. Tried calling twice and there was no answer."

"Was here today. The staff was nice and they had a great selection of books! The prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely go here again in the future when I want more books. They had so many great books that I actually almost got 2 books instead of sticking to my original plan of getting just 1. I would definitely get more than 1 next time."

"I haven't been there myself yet but I asked my mom to stop in for me recently as I wanted a book on knitting. Someone working there helped her find the book. She brought home a great book at a price that can't be beat. I will definitely stop in there next chance I get! Thank you for great customer service! Couldn't be happier with the book!"
