"A buddy and I did a wading trip with Reed. I fish a lot back home In Louisiana but knew very little about fly fishing for trout in the mountains. My buddy and I both caught fish but I also walked away with confidence in my cast and further knowledge of the sport. Reed wasn’t a guide, he was a teacher. That morning with Reed was worth every penny. We caught fish, and I was able to use what I learned the next day to catch a trout on my own. The shop is run by good, knowledgeable people. They’ll tell you if you don’t need something in a heartbeat and are willing to share places to go if you’re unfamiliar with the area. Great experience , great shop, great people."
"Smallish shop with everything you'd expect from a fly shop. Staff was knowledgeable, again as expected. Took a guided trip with John which was excellent, although John said it was a slower day... partly cloudy and following a cold front"
"Went there to pick out a new rod. They helped me find the rod I was looking for and before I left opened up the case and fully inspected it before I left, which was good because the first one they opened had a bent guide. They noticed it and pulled another one from stock and sent me out with confidence that they take care of their customers and back their products. I ended up buying a reel and line also before I left. Great shop to deal with."
