"Today was a very busy Sunday morning. It was hectic and there were many frustrating customers. I had the honor of having Letisha as my waitress. She was organized, calm, and classy during the rush of people. She also had a very good energy and smile on her face the whole time which made me feel welcome. She absolutely made my morning! :)"

"These guys know how to throw down in the kitchen. The staff is helpful and efficient. They could benefit from a few more smiles though. The atmosphere is usually one of 2 extremes. Its either like a chuck e cheese or a funeral parlor. Food is superb here."

"Haven’t been to I-Hop in a while family chose to do brunch on Christmas Day. We arrived 45 minute wait which is understandable it’s Xmas day. We got seated server was attentive and sweet. No issue with her. But as she took our order my son was tapping me trying to get my attention. The server finally completed our order and walked away. My son pointed to my head and told me there was a cockroach crawling near my shoulder, I looked and sure enough it was there crawling up the side of the booth. Appetite ruined. I had to crush the bug since I didn’t want it to crawl on me or get on the table or risk it getting in our food. I let the server know she told the manager, the manager comes over and I tell her what’s going on she seemed like it wasn’t a big deal and advised me that they had sprayed two weeks ago and they can assure me they DONT have a bug issue. She asked if we wanted to move to the next seat over again making it seem like it’s no big deal. I was just taken aback altogether not only did she not even offer a discount on our meals she didn’t really seem to be empathetic to the situation, it’s gross and to be honest I wasn’t expecting a free meal but something nice like a free appetizer or drink something just disappointing!! Lack of care and attention. Unbelievable."

"Would have given the server 5 stars but those super long fingernails have no place in food service. Good food though. We haven’t been in a while and noticed the pancakes are much smaller than they used to be. No assortment of syrups offered either."

"If I could give this place a “0” star, I would. We use to come here over all the other I-Hops around Hampton Roads. Because this location was clean, the staff were welcoming, the environment was quiet and the food was good. We came in today expecting the same. We were hit with an exact 180! They have redone the actual restaurant. Where there was once windows for dividers to help with noise, there is now open spaces. We understand that there is going to be noise in a restaurant but this was way louder than usual. The floors were sticky. In the dining area, foyer and bathrooms. We were seated with no silverware, straws or napkins. None was given to us once drink orders were taken either. I had to walk back up to the hostess to ask for some because our waitress was lacking the observation. We were given dirty coffee cups, that still had lipstick on them from who knows when. The coffee tasted either burnt or old, possibly both. The men’s bathroom I was told by my husband was disgusting. We were only checked on by our waitress for drink orders and when food was brought out. The service has definitely gone down hill. The bust boys are slamming dishes around like they hope it breaks. Once we got our food we were already annoyed and ready to leave. Hash browns were like a brick they were so burnt. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. Was the worst $45 we ever spent."
