Gourmet Burger Bistro

"It's Black History month, of course we're going to a black owned establishment for our mom & daughter lunch. We selected Gourmet Burger Bistro in the Churchland section of Portsmouth. They're known for their award winning burgers, but their menu includes everything from rice bowls, shrimp and grits, to salmon, crab cakes, and wings. They serve brunch on Sat. & Sunday. We loved our food, everything was delicious. The chicken wings are huge, we did 4 as an appetizer. The Major Way burger did not disappoint. I also went with the chicken & shrimp rice bowl. Their signature sauce was the kicker. Oh and definitely grab some homemade cake or cobbler. Strawberry cake is highly recommended. Staff was great; and the owner made sure we were satisfied with our food. I know I will be back. Portsmouth has some of the best eats."

"I cannot rave enough about this place. Straight outta Ptown with awesome wings burgers and more like none other. Celebrity Black lights the place up with his personality and the kitchen is always serving IT up right. Love IT"

"Finally tried them for the first time and omg so good! Especially those sticky wings. They changed my life for the better! Lol my burger was delicious. They cooked my egg EXACTLY how I wanted it. My bf loved his food too. He went inside to pick up our food and the owner happened to be there. My bf said he was so nice and down to earth. You just don’t find good service and nice people like that these days, so that was an A+! The wait wasn’t long and they give you a courtesy call to let you know your food is ready. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back (this weekend sounds like a great idea) lol Keep up the great work!"

"Super chill place and staff, close to no wait time and has bar included. Lots of different options when it comes to desserts and entrees. The burger was filling and juicy along with the sweet potato fries which were absolutely amazing I’d highly recommend it over the regular fries definitely a place worth checking out."
