"Food was good. Service was good."
"Was recommended this place by other fellow visitors to Cape Charles. My husband and I showed up at 9 am and asked to sit at the counter where there were plenty of seats. The waitress told us they weren’t taking any more diners because they had a full house and were closing at 11 am…"
"I was really disappointed in my experience coming here. The food is fine, but the way our server spoke to us was awful."
"A really nice place to get breakfast. Home town feel. Not fancy just a satisfying meal in nice surroundings. We stopped in Cape Charles overnight during a road trip. Pretty place. Many small businesses like this one. We will visit again."
"While heading up to Chincoteague Island we stopped in Cape Charles to have breakfast here at Rayfield's. First I want to say that the prices here are very nice. Especially in today's world. Now for the food... I got the veggie omelette meal. It came with a 3 egg omelette onions mushrooms and tomatoes rye toast and a hash brown, and scrapple. Yes I said scrapple! The family got French toast with sausage and the little guy got a pancake with bacon. The pancake was HUGE! It was the size of the plate and had nice crispy edges. For me it didn't even need syrup. The French Toast looked good. The batter looked like it had cinnamon in it and was golden brown. The sausage was a bit different though coarse grind and split and grilled. It didn't taste like typical breakfast sausage. My meal was very good but the way that the scrapple was cooked threw me off at first. I've only had scrapple pan fried. But this was deep fried so it was a bit greasy. It tasted good though. And the hash brown had a little pool of grease on the plate where it was placed. If you are in the Cape Charles area and are looking for a bite to eat give this place a try. They are open for breakfast and lunch only."
