"We had great food for the entire family from Bootheel! The online ordering via our phone was very easy and their menu listed the allergies clearly which was big help. Kids loved the chicken tenders and we loved the pulled pork and brisket! Thanks again, you saved our rainy Friday night dinner dilemma!!"
"National Zoo Location: Now that I know the Jambalaya is actually $12 and not $11 as the menu reads. The food has every bit of flavor I was expecting but since “they made all sorts of errors on the menu if I read it correctly” I’ll probably not come back. Get the menu fixed or point out the price and spelling inconsistencies."
"They were at the Smithsonian National Zoo and they took “Zoo Food” up another level! The family enjoyed great pulled pork sandwiches, very well seasoned and tender chicken strips, and crispy french fries! Made our trip to the zoo so much more enjoyable to have some actually great food!"
"To the lady who took my order yesterday (4/16/23) at the national zoo, shout out to you for embarrassing/humiliating me in front of your customers and for telling your customers of what you thought I did. I did not fall in line there to be interrogated and humiliated in front of a lot of people. I only needed an order of French fries for my son. I waited patiently there. I was not complaining. I even said hello to you before you stepped out of the order window and hid. Your coworker had to remind you that there are people waiting in line. But what did you do to me? You showed your face and told me proudly that I cut the line. I DID NOT CUT the line. I went to the entrance of your line first (before the people in front of me came in the line) I had to check your menu first before I fell in the line behind this two ladies. I did not know that they were a group or that her husband was behind me. if I knew, I would gladly let them go first. Besides, The lady even ordered her husband a bottled of water. The embarrassment that you brought to me yesterday was not equal to the French fries you served me. My son/family were not hungry. They were patiently waiting too in front of your truck. I was not in hurry. I was not hungry. so why would I cut the line? and Why did you have to humiliate me for an order of French fries?"
"Upon first approach, I was guided by my nose. I sniffed this place out from a mile away. When I got to the line, I quickly noticed the high prices. I’m sure this is influenced by the DC area or the Smithsonian museum. A bottle of water was $4 vs $2 for a can of Pepsi. That’s a bit overpriced but that’s my own opinion. I ordered chicken and fries for the kids and a pulled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was actually pretty good but it could have come with fries for the $14 it cost. The chicken tenders and fries were $10.50 and there were 5 tenders and 10 French fries. All jokes aside, there weren’t a lot of fries on that platter. I also went up and asked for ketchup and hot sauce. The lady taking my order made a very snarky remark and said, “ we don’t have catsup, we only have ketchup”. She didn’t even catch the hot sauce! This whole interaction would have been much more pleasant if they weren’t blasting music out from the two speakers right next to the window. I’m all about having fun and setting the mood but when you have to constantly lower the music to listen to what your customer has to say, that’s probably because the volume is set at an inappropriate level. Good music but too loud for an ordering window. I’m not trying to knock this place because the food was actually pretty good. I probably wouldn’t pay the prices to come back but I’m glad I tried it."
