"Based on my experience, I advise caution before choosing to work here. The company has a tendency to overstaff, which often leads to reduced working hours for employees. This can be particularly challenging for those relying on a steady income to pay bills. Additionally, I've noticed a pattern of retaliation in scheduling practices. For example, if an employee has pre-arranged plans on a day when their hours were previously cut, and the company attempts to call them in but is ignored, there seems to be negative consequences. This practice can create an uncomfortable and unpredictable work environment"
"Employees are hard working but extremely mistreated by the stuck up arrogant rude customers. People need to under stand that the employees are over worked the store is short staffed give them a break think about your fellow man before you yell or scream at them. Employees are great and friendly but the customers are rude hateful and greedy the customers that shop here make me feel ashamed of my fellow man"
"(Last Week) If it wasn’t for my recent visit to the Kroger‘s, I wouldn’t have remembered to post this review which is long overdue. I don’t know if it was a vendor or an actual employee of Kroger’s, but while I was shopping, there was this pallet that was stacked too high that could’ve easily fallen, but the employee simply ignored it as they chatted with the female over by the bakery department. Customers shouldn’t have to move out of employees way. It should be the other way around and there shouldn’t be anything that would cause that hazard or that would make it so a customer would have to leave or not go in the area that they were hoping to get food or whatever else they could get at the store. The male definitely looked relaxed. Anyways, besides not being able to find the product I was looking for while walking through the store it just brought up the memories that I forgot that I was supposed to post it a while back about how I really felt about visiting the store for the very first time.. What I thought .:End of Last Year Visit:. Awful place to visit. The place or the employees just make me feel dirty when I visit the store. The manager??? Idk seems to have an attitude and a sweaty appearance (messy hair and clothes (maybe he was lifting products in the back. Idk)) there were a lot of employees hanging around the front not assisting customers. They were chatting amongst themselves and on their cellphones. They have no real dress code for their employees. They should. It’s a profession environment no matter what the job is. *** that being said I’m not talking about all employees. Some actually looked like they tried and knew their job. *** I really wish they had a Harris Teeter nearby. At least they have some standards. I would never judge a whole company because of a few individuals that I didn’t care for because of their actions and words used towards me. That wouldn’t be fair. Especially since I’m just now being it to their attention and they have not been able to improve their store or business from my feedback. I just hope they take it seriously. I will say I did visit the another location soon after that and they had a nicer store and the manager was dressed nicely and he had no problem assisting me. Sadly it doesn’t change the view I had of the Bristol VA store . Do better. Btw Krogers is selling a plant at another location for $8.99 at this location however it is still priced at $29.99 when I asked about it the my approved of the price change while at the register then after submitting payment they canceled the transaction stating they can’t prove match even with their own stores. They didn’t even want to provide a receipt for the cancelled transaction but we asked her to give it to us for proof that it was removed and to make sure the charge falls off from the card. I have pictures attached below. It was just freakin rude especially since they had already authorized it and then thought we would buy it regular price. It was already ridiculously priced. You’re better off buying the plant seeds from a gardening store."
"Kroger is now my official go to for all things dairy-free. There natural foods selection far out ways other local markets. I am forced to be dairy free now and I can find all my substitutes here. All but cottage cheese. I will have to let that one go and move on. Although, I will say this stuff is not cheap! Why can't we get healthy food options at the same price as other items? Stuff that is bad for us is penny's compared to healthy."
