"Great spot to bring or meet a friend for coffee. Went New Years Day, thoughtful seating with a mix of community tables, paired cafe tables & raised bar tables. Prompt accurate service, with a " stay for awhile" smile. Superb flat white & cherry danish & friend luvd the breakfast sandwhich & latte. Fair prices. If your'e lucky grab a seat with a window view, sip great coffee & watch the world of Libbie & Grove go by."

"Bought coffee here once using my credit card while traveling and now they are spamming my email with ads. If I wanted to be spammed I would have given my email or signed up for a rewards program or whatever. Abusing credit card payments to get personal data is scummy. Will not be buying anything from themever again."

"Coffee was weak, but had decent music. Barista who opened didn’t seem to want to be there or serve us. Barista was having conversations about laughing at having miscarried babies, abortion pills, and the pleasure of throwing brochures and laughing in the faces of pro life people. Keep your personal politics out of the workplace especially early in the morning when everyone in the coffee shop can hear you. Grit coffee get some training for your employees. Will not recommend to anyone"

"First time visit but long time fan! Coming from cville it was a welcomed site to see Grit Coffee! Each grit has their own feel and flavor. Still best breakfast in cville downtown! This grit however was simple but charming and open. Barista was super kind, warm, and efficient! Asked a few questions on what I should get and recommendations and she did not disappoint. Excited with the move to visit this location more!"
