Tea with Mrs. B 136 West Jefferson Street, Falls Church, VA 22046

"It has taken me to a month to cool down and write this review, I don’t even know where to begin. First, Mrs.B insulted my daughter and I in front of the rest of the entire group multiple times, with her quirky little ways of correcting people. We found her insulting, and quite frankly hurtful. She even insulted one of her hosts in front of everyone and made her take off her sweater because it was “taking away from the vintage dress” Mrs. b had made her wear. My daughter ended up crying in the car because of the way she embarrassed her multiple times during this event. Second, the Santa—-and truly my biggest hurt and honestly something my daughter will never get over, told her that what she was asking for for Christmas she shouldn’t. She was asking for a snowboard and he told her because she’s never done it before and she doesn’t know if she would be good at it so she shouldn’t ask for it. Are you kidding me? My daughter is extremely athletic and now every time this season she has been learning to snowboarded she hears him in her head telling her she can’t. At the end of our snowboarding day today, she said mom every time I buckled in, in my head I heard Santa saying I wasn’t good… No child should ever have to experience that. 3rd… this event and facility is recommended for girls under 5 (at oldest) no where in the website does it say that so when we showed up we were shocked, instead of the hosts adapting they treated our girls rudely and as an inconvenience because they were older. Lastly, when booking our reservation, we were supposed to have 1.5 hours there. With more than 20 minutes left to go, the entire staff started clearing our unfinished plates and stacking our chairs right out from under us. I am not even touching on the food and tea in this post because all the other problems are way more significant. I do not recommend AT ALL."

"We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at Tea with Mrs. B, and what an absolutely wonderful day it was! My daughter felt so incredibly special with a visit from Fairy Fawn, dress up and simple etiquette lessons. Rebecca has this lovely way, like a princess, of capturing children's attention to teach throughout the party. I was able to sit and chat with some of my friends while she kept the girls entertained for hours. It was a beautiful afternoon and my daughter had the best birthday!"

"Tea with Mrs. B was a wonderful experience. Me and my little girl learned about etiquette together while having so much fun dressing up and having tea with friends. Mrs. B - and her daughter - are so much fun and my daughter is still talking about all that she learned at the tea party. The tea house is filled with so many wonderful things to explore and kids - and parents - of all ages will love it. It was the perfect mommy-daughter day. "My words can not express enough how much my girls (and myself) love Tea with Mrs. B and everyone that makes the magic happen! From the attention to detail with beautiful décor to the encouraging and inventive ways to teach etiquette and manners, kids of all ages (including adults) enjoy tea with plenty of smiles, giggles, and laughs, not to mention unique and quite tasty array of tea and treats. I've been bringing my loves to Tea with Mrs. B for years now and they continue to request to attend events multiple times throughout the year. Our favorites are the balls, seasonal teas, and of course, the visit with Santa. We've participated in both the private Santa event and the group event open to the public and both have been fabulous! We even had a virtual Valentine's Day tea, which was really sweet! The memories made with Mrs. B and everyone who helps her, hold a special place in my heart!"

"Tea with Mrs. B offers a magical experience for kids of all ages. Her tea room is beautiful and from the minute you walk in the door you are met with a smile and energy that is infectious! Mrs. B makes learning manners fun! My daughter participated in the toddler tea and she loved dressing up and being fancy. She had so much fun that she didn't even realize she was learning important life skills. I cannot recommend this place enough and we cannot wait to go back for another tea party!"
