"Broke down on I-81 south of Wytheville in a 54-year-old classic car. The original timing chain cam gear failed late a Saturday afternoon, so I had to wait until Monday morning to call Troy, owner of the shop. He's very quiet, especially on the phone, so we walked the 45 minutes to meet him in person. Once that happened, he started on the timing set replacement himself and pulled the oil pan for cleaning. His work was outstanding, and very reasonable considering how much time he spent. Unfortunately, the chain skipping so many teeth bent at least one valve, so I'm having to pull the cylinder heads myself and we were hauled 229 miles home yesterday by Berts Garage, Hillsville, VA. I'll follow up with Troy once I get everything fixed. I'd highly recommend his shop."

"We didn’t catch the mechanic’s name but he saved us! We were 700 miles from home and in need of a tire. After searching the entire city for a place (we were turned away several times) we came across this little place. While they didn’t have a tire specifically for our vehicle the mechanic figured out a way to make sure we at least got home safely! And for that we’re forever grateful! He was fast, friendly and he didn’t charge us a ridiculous price! Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience from a stranger!"

Unless you take time off work to get an inspection done, no place local wants to open on Saturday, but Collin's does. We appreciate them and have for many years."

"I was traveling 7/21/17 and my car was missing after being in the road for over an hour. An O Reillys worker George called Troy and told him my issue, Troy told him to send me down. He was busy with other customers, but he took the time to squeeze me in to fix my car so I could continue my travels to New York. He and his wife were so nice and explained everything to me completely. I felt safe and comfortable. I felt I could trust them. After the fact I did look all parts up and they charged me accordingly they did not overcharge. I am thankful for them! I am proud to know that the Collins are nice, decent, and caring.
