"Been here a few times. The atmosphere is historical, clean, and acceptable. The service is excellent, fast, and honorable. But the food… the food is “USUALLY” really good; but my most recent trip here wasnt so great. The chicken was dry, the waffle fried were hard, and overall the food was just ok. Maybe the chef was having a bad day or maybe I showed up too late near closing… But I was slightly disappointed recently because I know how good the food usually is here."

"The location was pretty neat right by an active train track. Downfall to that is that it's an active train track so that means loud sounds. Other than that seating kinda made you feel you were in a box car eating. Don't know why they had quilts and blankets hanging from ceiling. I ordered the catfish with broccoli and a baked potato. Catfish was very good, nice and crunchy batter with some good seasoning. Now the broccoli was a bush for sure and no seasoning whats so ever. Joked with waitress about it and she commented that they do not season their vegetables at all due to older patrons that eat there. My girlfriend had some green beans and they tasted like they came right of the ground. We did get side salads and the freshness of those were to die for."

"My parents and I were visiting Lynchburg from out of town and decided to have lunch at this place, which is the old train depot converted to an atmospheric restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff right away, and our server was attentive and kind. We each ordered a different item on the menu and liked what we ate. The prices are reasonable for what you get. We liked the railroad decorations throughout the restaurant. Please note that there is free parking nearby as well as ample paid parking."
