"One of the best Afghan restaurants I’ve been to. The dishes are typical regional dishes, flavorful and attractive. Wish the Nan was homemade. Not very crowded and they must not hear the door chime as guests had to find staff in the back each time. The atmosphere was eclectic, but would also benefit from some regional music in the background to drown out the kitchen and beeping from the fire alarm. Good portions and reasonable prices. I will be back often."

"When you walk in and smell the aroma, it just smells like home. You are greeted by a loving restaurant family. The food is above and beyond any expectations! The chicken kebobs are my personal favorite, but any food you get here is just simply amazing! This is definitely a Charlottesville institution for Middle Eastern cuisine. Thank you, Afghan Kebob!"

"This place is GREAT!!! What a magnificent experience is when you come across a place like this, a place that feels homey and authentic. A place that carries you on a journey. To the folks complaining about the fact that it is " too quiet" you guys must be the typical Americans that go to a place to talk about your trips and your shopping and EVERYBODY has to endure your conversation. This place is a gem!! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The waiter is the very best waiter in Charlottesville, a very young man who is not only fast, but courteous, helpful and very respectful. The food is OUTSTANDING. Portions are generous. Salad is superb, fresh, crunchy and the dressing is delicious. Kabobs are very tasty. Rice is superb!! I highly recommend my new favorite restaurant in Charlottesville!!"
