"We visited here once about 10 years ago and loved it. We recently found ourselves in the area and decided to stop in for a late breakfast (around 10 AM) last Friday morning. I wish we would have went elsewhere. The hostess sat us immediately but wasn't overly friendly. I think we interrupted her conversation with another customer by coming in. Our server came and took our drink orders and we placed our food orders when she brought the drinks. The food came out pretty quickly. She dropped it off, came back about 2 minutes later and asked if all was ok, and dropped our check off and that was the last we saw of her at our table. No offer of refills, no have a nice day, nothing. I wouldn't have paid $3.25 for a 12 ounce glass of tea if I had known it wasn't going to be refilled. The menu they gave us was nothing at all like what is on the Mrs. Rowe's website. It was very limited. My partner got the 2 eggs with western ham, homefries, biscuit and asked for a side of gravy. I got a veggie omelet with a side of bacon, homefries, biscuit. His eggs were very runny, the gravy had no flavor and the ham looked like it came from a multi-pack in the grocery store. My omelet was advertised as a 3 egg omelet, but it was the thinnest, smallest 3 egg omelet I have ever seen. I had to salt and pepper my omelet and potatoes which I never do, but they needed flavor. The bacon was cold, but since it was bacon, I just ate it anyway. The biscuits seemed like the Grand frozen biscuits. Not sure if they were scratch made, but not the impression I got. When we were leaving I noticed a couple of cookies in the case, 2 different varieties. I asked if they might have chocolate chunk out back. She said no, they sold out the day prior. So I guess they do not make cookies daily. Not sure how fresh their other bakery items are. I don't think we'll make a return visit, something has really gone downhill with this place."

"Decided to drop in for breakfast. Our server was friendly and very attentive even though I don’t remember any other server in the area they sat us in. Food wasn’t great. I had an omelette and it was a bit greasy. Didn’t make me sick but I didn’t feel awesome for a bit afterwards but again I didn’t get sick. Toast was good. potatoes had literally no seasoning. They were well cooked & looked great but when you took a bite it had 0% flavor. We never have to add salt to our foods but we definitely did today."

"Delicious home cooking! Lots of childhood favorites like mom used to make. True comfort food. Home baked rolls and desserts are legendary. Very inexpensive with big portions. Written up in many magazines like Southern Living. Literally right off the highway so it’s a must try. We stop by every time we travel that way."

"For the first time ever eating hedear I found the food very good, but just a little bit pricey for my budget. I guess it just depends on how much money you have to whether or not it is pricey to anyone else. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I kind of felt like I was in a fancy restaurant. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was that the waitress never came back to ask if we wanted refills for our drinks. I'm not sure if it was just because they didn't have a lot of help or some other reason that could have been prevented. Overall, it is a very historical place and I would highly suggest trying it out if I were you"
