"Embracing my love for Mexican cuisine, I've had the pleasure of savoring dishes from this region and even indulging in authentic Mexican meals prepared by friends. However, my wife, who grew up in California, insists that the true essence of Mexican food is best experienced on the West Coast. While I've yet to make that journey, I've come to rely on her discerning taste to gauge the authenticity of Mexican flavors. Having sampled Mexican dishes in our local area, including those crafted by genuine Mexican cooks, the consensus is that the flavors, while enjoyable, tend to lean towards an Americanized adaptation. While the food is undeniably good and caters well to American tastes, it falls short of capturing the distinctive and robust flavors characteristic of authentic Mexican cuisine."

"My husband and I came back again today after a long hiatus. We used to come all the time because it was the OG food truck in Cpep. But now that there are SO many more we have made it our mission to try them all. But man oh man am I glad we came back! Everything was fantastic! Service, portions, quality, taste....all 5 ⭐.Highly recommend the plantains, the carne asada, shrimp ,carnitas tacos, esquites and papusa's. We are definitely throwing La Chiapaneca back in our regular rotation."

"We ordered some delivery from here for dinner. I ordered to burrito with beef tongue. Being American it sounds weird to eat beef tongue however I can say it was amazing. It is tender, flavorful and with the onions, cilantro, rice and beans give such an amazing flavor profile. It was honestly one of the best burritos I've ever had. Would definitely recommend eating here."

"Delicious tacos!! Everything we’ve had has been great, but my favorite are the shrimp tacos. Their fried plantains and esquites (grilled corn salad) are our favorite sides. Also really love their agua de frescas - can’t pick a favorite as they’re all wonderful. This place is really busy during peak dinner times, so you might have to wait a bit but it’s absolute worth it. There are lots of covered picnic tables to eat at. As it’s a food truck there isn’t a bathroom, but there is a port a john."

"Since it’s opening years ago, this place has been really good about the food they provide. It can be a little wait if it's really busy sometimes but worth it. It used to be on the north edge of town which you can still go to the food truck but now it’s also moved to Main Street. So much better now and it’s inside so no waiting in the hot sun. One of the best places for a quick bite in Culpeper."
