About the Business
Pupatella is a renowned Neapolitan pizza restaurant located at 13619 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway Service Road in Chantilly, Virginia. Our authentic Neapolitan pizzas are prepared exactly as they have been for over 150 years in Naples, Italy. Our pizza makers, or Pizzaiolos, undergo rigorous training that can last up to a year to perfect their craft. Each pizza is baked in a traditional wood-fire oven imported from Naples, reaching temperatures of over 900 degrees. The name "Pupatella" is a term of endearment in Naples, meaning "little doll", and was chosen to honor Enzo's beloved grandmother. Come experience the taste of true Neapolitan pizza at Pupatella.

"$7 for these little undercooked mozz stix! And an extra $1.25 for the tiny marinara. Yikes! Kids pasta tasted like hospital food. Pizza was ok but order was only half ready when I arrived so the pizza got cold while I waited for the rest."
"First time we have been to Pupatella, new to Chantilly. Was hopefully we would like the pizza, I love a good brick oven pizza. From its appearance it looked like it should have been cooked, however it was doughy and didn’t seem to be cooked. Service was fine, atmosphere was fine food quality not so good. Dave Fisher"
"We ordered two pizzas to go with no ordering issues and without an additional wait (only 20 mins. as the ordering system estimated online). The pizzas were ready on time and are exactly what we were expecting! We will order again for sure. We feel like we were transported back to Naples without the jet lag. This is true Neapolitan style pizza. If you are looking for this style, this place gets it perfect."
"Pizza was okay. But the service was truly lacking. We came at around 7pm and it was mostly empty. There were a lot of employees and very little customers. From the moment we walked in it felt like we were bothering the employees by giving them business. Felt like we weren't welcome. The only good thing was the nice young hostess at the front that said thank you and have a good night. Not even our sever said thank you. Not worth going back to get so-so pizza and bad service. *EDIT* I am editing this review from 2 stars to 5 because of the general manager Ted. He reached out to me personally and renewed my confidence in his business. I truly appreciate how he took the time to contact me directly. Ted, this is because of your efforts as a manager. I wish you great success."
"This location just opened on Monday (1/8). It's now Saturday (1/13) and I've eaten here three times. I've ordered carry-out over the phone, carry-out online, and dined in. All three experiences were great and I have zero complaints. The pizza tastes incredible and is ready very fast. The staff were understandably still in training, but very friendly and I had no issues. I really don't understand many of the negative reviews. They must have had a completely different experience than me. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. It's thin, fluffy, and crunchy all at the same time. Made with fresh ingredients. To get the best experience, you must eat it shortly after it comes out of the oven. Letting it sit for any time at all is detrimental to the texture. They also have beer on draft from local breweries made specifically for Pupatella. If you want "fast food" pizza, get that elsewhere. If you want NY style pizza, get that elsewhere. If you want fresh and certified authentic Neapolitan pizza, Pupatella is the place to get it."
