"Went for lunch and the food was amazing. Poached eggs with a corned beef hash. The poached eggs were done extremely well, and the corned beef was the best I've ever had. Our waiter said the chef only uses fresh ingredients from local farms, and you can definitely tell with how great the food tasted. The restaurant itself is in the lobby of a Hilton, but it's well decorated and very welcoming. They've also got a pretty big bar area which is nice. Service was great too, got seated pretty much immediately and our server constantly checked in with us to make sure we were good."

"We stopped in for lunch just after 1PM on a weekday and they were pretty busy. We were immediately seated, but I was surprised to see many other tables/parties sat. We came here because we heard really good things about the chef-inspired menu and excellent execution of their menu and we knew it was in a hotel, but found it odd that there’s actually a Hiton (even thought it’s a smaller brand Hilton, the Garden Inn) in Haymarket… Having grown up in this county, this area had always been so very rural, but now there’s an entire new demographic… Very sad to see what’s come of this once quaint, small, farming town ☹ But this restaurant found a nice home in the lobby here, as it’s a beautiful lobby area and it seems to have a decent amount of foot traffic, from guests and locals. The lunch menu is loaded with several very appealing items, but I chose their fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries and my wife got the beet and goat cheese salad with grilled chicken added to it. We both absolutely loved our meals… her chicken was very tender (could cut it with a fork, perhaps it was brined) and the salad was made with very fresh greens, cheese, and tasty beets. The salad that came with my sandwich was awesome, it had a very nice vinaigrette and amazing red peppers, along with perfectly fresh greens – YUM!! The chicken sandwich had a bit going on, but it all came together perfectly! The batter was excellent! The pickles looked and tasted homemade and the slaw was crispy, tasty, and fresh. The bun was outstanding!! Not sure if it was homemade, but it sure seemed like it, as it was a huge ciabatta bun. We definitely enjoyed this meal and will most definitely return!"

"We had a delightful birthday dinner at Red House Tavern. The service was attentive and friendly! We ordered the peach and habanero glazed pork belly starter, with polenta fresca, and it was knock-your-socks-off good! So fresh and flavorful! The pan con tomate was some of the best I've had - crispy yet soft bread, loaded up with juicy tomatoes, garlic, and excellent olive oil. Perfect bite! For our main dish, we tried the sea bass with clams, and enjoyed soaking up every bit of the broth with our bread. We were treated with a complimentary birthday dessert of chocolate semifreddo with salted whipped cream, which was something I never knew I needed! We also ordered a molten caramel pretzel cake which was also savory, sweet, melty, and delicious! All in all, a wonderful experience that I look forward to having again!"

"Expensive, but absolutely delightful. Located inside the Hilton hotel. Setting can be romantic at night as it is dimly lit. Server recommended 2-3 plates per person as they can be quite small and I don't agree. My wife and I split 6 oysters, squid ink pasta, and a burger and we were stuffed. Items are quite expensive, but our server said that the surrounding area is well off so it might explain why. Highly recommend the burger. I never knew homemade English muffins would be perfect on a medium rare burger. The flavors, texture, acid, and mouth feel pair so well. My favorite burger in Virginia"

"Super friendly and informative waiter. (Brian). Small menu compared to your big chain restaurants. They even have their own house made tea menu. A definite nice change for the area. Pricey but worth it. Locally sourced food. Menu changes constantly. Food was fresh, tasty and well presented. A couple little timing issues but otherwise I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasion. Probably the highest priced restaurant in the area."
