"My parents live in Flint Hill and whenever I come home to visit from college I make it a point to stop by for a meal. I have eaten at a lot of amazing restaurants around the world but this is the only restaurant that goes above and beyond every time. The attention to detail is what makes this place the best. The owners Reem and Chef are experts in the restaurant business and are so hands on in their business they make sure everything is perfection. Reem serves tables, greets as many guests as possible, and works one on one with clients to plan events. Her love for the Blue Door is evident. Chef is a genius. He really cannot make a bad dish. He changes the menu very often so you never know what’s in store but it is always guaranteed that the ingredients are the freshest. Evidence of this can be seen by walking through their garden that Chef and Reem attend to. Paige the server is always kind and welcoming, she checks in the perfect amount, and she has an extensive knowledge of the food and drinks she serves. The bartender Megan has the most cheerful attitude, she makes you feel at home, and makes cocktails you cannot get anywhere else. Some of my favorite meals here have been when I dined solo at the bar with Megan. With all of that said this is a must visit place. Wether you have to drive 6 hours or take a plane or walk 30 miles the journey to this magnificent and peaceful restaurant will be worth it."

"We live locally, and have not stayed in the inn, but we are regulars in the dining room. The food is excellent quality, beautifully prepared, and always interesting. The wine list is very good, with some great value wines that bear out the expertise of the staff. The service is friendly, and right on the mark. There are more expensive places to dine in the county, but this is the real deal, and worth every penny."

"I saw this place had 4.9 stars so expectations were high, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Octopus, halibut and shrimp chittara were all delicious. We’re not usually dessert people, but the starter and mains were so good we decided to try the espresso semifreddo and apple strudel - both were delicious! Ambience and service was welcoming and enjoyable. Definitely worth the trip, we’ll be back!"

"What an amazing find! We just happened to drive past The Blue Door and thought it looked very inviting. So we went to the website and saw all the great reviews and made a reservation. We were not disappointed, both the service and food were exceptional. We had an early reservation for dinner and enjoyed a cocktail as we perused their menu. Our group of four decided on the burrata cheese and beets, the cucumber, soup and tuna tartare to start. For entrées two of us enjoyed the squid ink pasta with shrimp and the other two had the chicken special. One in our group has a severe food allergy so the chef prepared her entrée separately to avoid any possibility of cross-contamination. Everything was exceptional, including the service. Paige was our server for the evening and she was friendly, courteous, and professional. While the prices at The Blue Door are not inexpensive, we didn’t feel as though they were excessive given the quality of the experience."
