"After being a patient for well over ten years, (my husband and sister went there too, due to MY recommendation). When I called today, January 24th for an appointment, I was told I had an appointment in August and I was a "no show" I DID NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN AUGUST. I was not even home for most of August. I told them I did NOT have an appointment in August, but they insisted I DID and never came. A new policy due to a rash of "no shows" means now they charge 25.00 if you miss an appointment. I understand that if you miss an appointment and do not call to reschedule. But I have NEVER missed an appointment in the years I have gone there. I did not make an appointment in August nor did I ever receive a text or call reminding me, which I always get anytime I have an appointment. I asked to speak to Dr. Pfiel himself since he knows me and my family and also knows we are not people who "don't show". We gladly pay in full anything insurance does not cover. We are dream patients!! I would never be a "no show" to a professional and I have many that I see due to health issues. I was not allowed to speak to Dr. Pfiel, I did not know the person I spoke with, Jessica. It is NOT the 25.00 charge that upsets me, it is the fact that I DID NOT miss an appointment and they would not believe or listen to me. Just an "Its our policy". Well I said if you are willing to loose three long time good patients over not believing someone they have known and know that is not how I manage my life. Well, long story, but my husband and I have an appointment this Friday at a DIFFERENT EYE CARE BUSINESS because I was not believed and I was made to feel like a second class citizen. It was awful. All I did was call to make an appointment for my husband and I. Again, it is NOT the 25.00. It was the fact that I was NOT BELIEVED no matter what I tried to explain. So.....Goodbye Insight Vision and all who work there. I still absolutely cannot believe three good customers were allowed to be let go and will NEVER SET FOOT in that place again, all because of OTHER people being "no shows". Lots other very reputable local eye doctors will want us, we are prompt payers, pleasant to deal with, in fact we already have an Appointment in two days!! I'm SO disappointed in Dr. Pfiel. He is responsible for making the policy and like I said, I understand many businesses do this now for "no shows". I have NO PROBLEM with that. But IT IS NOT CORRECT or TRUE that I did not show for an appointment in August. Wow, at Insight Vision, you get receptionists who DO NOT BELIEVE YOU and they treated a long term customer very shabby. I would not go back there now if they begged me to come back and gave me free vision care forever. To be truthful, they did not have a very big selection of frames to choose from anyway."
