"Had my Ford Explorer towed to JT because it would not start. He diagnosed the problem said I needed a starter but then also decided I needed a thermostat housing and changed it without notifying me grand total $800. As I drove out of the parking lot after a couple of miles my check engine light came on. I called him back immediately and he did not listen to anything I told him other than a check engine light was on. He began to shout at me over the phone and said it could be anything but it is not his work. I drove it to another mechanic when I pulled in the parking lot the vehicle would not start as before.The new Mechanic changed my battery and my vehicle was fine. The new Mechanic pointed out a leak coming from my engine and said it looks like someone tried to change your thermostat. I notice than that my truck was slightly overheating. The new Mechanic changed the thermostat that JT had just put in a few hours earlier. Another $300 later and I have not had any other issues with my truck. The name of the place that actually fixed my truck is first stop auto. If you ever have a vehicle issue you would be better off taking it to the junkyard before bringing it to JT. Absolutely biggest mistake I ever made with my vehicle. Avoid JT. There are tons of better mechanics out there even if they're not good they would be better than him."
