"The hostess came to the bar to grab me once I was seated to inform me that there was a wait. I asked for the bar? She gave an explanation as to why there was also a wait for the bar despite there being several open seats at the bar and open tables on the floor, not including an entire row of bar seats at an island. She claimed to have reservations at 10am on a Sunday- not after anything parties. She snapped that the wait was 45 minutes and that she would page me. I recorded a few videos then asked for the manager who at first backed her up with “there may be empty chairs but that’s because we don’t want to slam the kitchen” is what his answer meant. Never heard of a restaurant risking money in order to not inconvenience its workers. He sat me in the very seat that I had attempted to sit in 10 minutes prior. The seats beside me remained empty for all of my first specialty coffee and most of my second. The island remained bare. The hostess who refused to give me her actual name was white, had very short hair and thin built. She was nasty and aggressive. The black girl working beside only grinned and avoided eye contact. She knew I would shame her. My bartender had greeted me nicely and gave me good service from what I could tell so I still tipped him. The hostess was still coming for me when I left the building, “ have a good day!” That’s why I wrote this up outside of the restaurant because in an hour or so I will not care. I will not go back but will not care."
"The ambience is great and the seating is comfy. I tried their hen's hash and the breakfast sando sandwich; it was good but not amazing for the quantity and price. I thought I could make it at home, maybe it just isn't for me."
"One of my favorite brunch places in Pittsburgh. The atmosphere here is remarkable. Well spaced apart seatings, clean upscale ambience, with nice touch of greens. The food was delicious and pricing was also very reasonable (about $20-25) per person. Can’t wait to come again."
"Located within the Union Trust Building, this wonderful little establishment meshes well with the overall elegance of the building's atmosphere. The service was great. They were kind and courteous. The Goat Omelet and Eggs Benedict were just to die for! They also serve good lattes and mochachinos. The Poppy Seed Pancake tastes more like a muffin, but it was also satisfactory. Reservations are advised, but I'd definitely recommend this spot."
"Overall, the restaurant is good and remember to make a reservation. I ordered the Ted Lasso omelette with crab meat. The omelette is not as moisture and fluffy as the one I expected, but it tastes good. The smoky ham inside taste really good and it has a lot of crab meat. Also, the whole wheat toast comes with butter melted into it, which makes it tastes really good. The hen’s hash with avocado is also really good. The egg is cooked to perfect. The hash is cooked with corn and asparagus. We made our avocado toast by putting the avocado, egg and sour dough together."
