"If you blink, you will miss it! This is an impressive restaurant. The bar is well stocked and had a wide variety of spirits. The bartender was knowledgable and friendly. The restaurant is clean but the layout is disjointed because of the space limitations. There are a couple seats here there and everywhere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All of the food was delicious and prepared correctly."

"A wonderful icon of Martinsville with top notch food and drinks and an excellent bar area which fills up fast. We have gone twice now and have been fortunate to get a spot in the bar both times which is really the jewel of this excellent restaurant. The bartenders who waited on us each time were both fabulous. The drinks are first rate and the bartenders accommodate drink modifications in stride. The food is Exceptional. We’ve had both meat and seafood on our visits as well as a few of the appetizers—again, everything was exceptional. The wedge salad which was not on the menu the second time we visited was one of the best we have ever eaten—my recommendation to the folks at the Tavern is to make this a part of your regular menu! Thank you for providing excellence at every level!"

"Loved coming here! The staff was incredibly friendly and perfectly attentive. They had a jazz musician playing between two of the rooms at the perfect volume which made for a really pleasant atmosphere. And of course the food was just wonderful. I had the pappardelle burrata which came out perfect. My friend got the short ribs which was so homey and delicious as well. It was a perfect sized portion too which was great. I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu!"

"This place is awesome. Delicious food. Nice, cozy, cute atmosphere. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. The steaks are super professionally cooked. The crab cake was amazing and the linguine and clams was really Flavorful and filling. Great service including valet parking. Great place for a date night. I’d like to go back for the lunch menu and try a few things"
