"don't like to leave negative reviews but N.Smithfield Fence did a terrible job installing our vinyl fence & 8ft wooden fence. I spent thousands of dollars only to hire another company to fix what they did incorrectly. The fence started to buckle & separate only after 3 years. The owner at the time wouldn't even come and see the issues we were having with his employees installing the fence, he was rude and unprofessional. With our vinyl fence they didn't dig the posts deep enough and used very little cement to secure the post in place causing the fence to evenutally buckle & the panels separate from the posts. With the wooden fence they installed short posts which caused the fence to lean, we had to install braces/brackets ourselves to prevent the fence from falling down. Today, we hired Lynch Fence Company who came out and repaired our vinyl fence for us.... Stay far away from North Smithfield Fence Company"

"After looking at several fence company's and getting quotes, I decided to go with North Smithfield Fence. The gentleman who came to do the estimate and take measurements was very pleasant and thorough. He did however miss one of the gates I asked for on the estimate. When I went to drop off a check and schedule the fence install. I spoke with two gentlemen in the office, one of which was the owner, Mike. I told him about the gate and he said he'd throw it in for free as a thank you to my husband, a veteran, for his service. He wrote in on a post-it and attached it to the estimate. 2 months later my cedar picket fence was installed. The installers were fantastic and did such an amazing job! A few weeks after the install I got the bill in the mail with an added charge of over $300 saying extra panels added at my request. I called for clarification and got a return voicemail saying was told it was for the gate (that was supposedly free). While I love the fence, I am truly disappointed in the billing aspect. I feeling like the bill is being padded or they were deceptive in their initial estimate. If you do go with North Smithfield Fence be sure you get everything in writing!!"
