"I've been to Altered Genius several times now, most recently with my wife on a Friday evening. The quality of the food and beer has always been excellent, the ambiance is great, and the staff are great. On my most recent visit two things were especially impressive. There were a few families with young children, and a young guitarist and singer named Elias Khouri was performing. The music was great, not too loud, not too soft, just right. This, coupled with the presence of the families and the hospitality of the staff gave the place a nice, warm, homey ambiance. A great place for beer, food, and entertainment. Five stars."

"The live music was nice out on the porch, the drink menu had decent variety, and the food was all around fine. The only reasons I chose 4 stars rather than 5 were the mushroom sandwich had lots of little mushrooms on it rather than being a true portobello sandwich and our server sort of disappeared on us for a while so rather than ordering another drink we were forced to hasten to the check to make our tickets to the theater."

"Great hidden gem in Ambridge! The food was delicious and we had a wonderful and attentive waitress. They had a nice selection of fresh, in-house made beers. We only came here to see my friend's band play, but we got to discover this unique spot too! If you're looking for something different I'd definitely check them out."
