"There is another spot in town that I enjoy Sicilian from. I got 6 slices from police station, and 6 from "other place." I ordered them both light sauce, extra cheese, and crispy. PS pizza was okay, except the sauce wasn't light and it could have been more crispy. My complaint is they use too much sauce. Also, I am a big fan of crust (especially crispy) on a pizza. Their pizza doesn't really have a thicker crust...it just tapers down. That might be a win for some people. In all I enjoyed it, but I have had better."
"This is one of those "diamond in the rough" type of places. It's not pretty to look at, but the quality product that comes out is exactly what the flavor experience is supposed to be like. I'm not happy that you have to order 12 to get it unbaked, but it's cool that they still have it as an option. The toppings they offer are pretty awesome, I was surprised to see bacon! They told me to leave in 5 minutes to pick up my order and when I got there, I waited at least 20 minutes; seemed silly to me. This place is typically busy, so if it looks slow, hit them up while you can!"
"Heavy dough. Cheese is piled on generously. If you want a good slice of pizza to fill you up. This is the joint. Looking for fancy ambiance and quick service at the dinner hour… you might want to look elsewhere and come back when it’s not crowded."
"This place is different but I like different. The crust was crunchy heaven. You order and pay, but then you must tell a pizza assembly person your exact toppings again. Different, but I didn't mind. Sauce was plain. I would have preferred to taste garlic and oregano and the sausage to be spicier, but I still enjoyed it. Next time, I will get it uncooked and jazz it up at home. I am still thinking about that delicious crust though."
"Police Station Pizza-aka: Pizza House, is local-gem type establishment in Ambridge, known for selling slices of Sicilian Pizza. On a weekend, you had better get there early bc they only make so much dough, and once they run out, they close for the night. When I was there last time on a Saturday, they started turning away new orders around 7:15pm. The prices are very reasonable and I am posting the current menu as of 9-18-2022. The pizza has a nostalgic taste, an old school homey type feel to it. It’s definitely good stuff. The cheese is mozzarella, which they bake some on and sprinkle some uncooked on top. The sauce is slightly tart, but perfectly seasoned, and reminds me of a San Marzano/Jersey Mikes sauce type feel. It’s far better than said canned sauce however. The dough is slightly crispy on the bottom and crust, yet light and fluffy on the inside. Very well done and easy to bite in to. Not oily or buttery at all. They are generous with the toppings. The pepperoni and sausage was a good choice. The mushrooms, although canned, are of good quality, and I would get them again. There is a great sauce/cheese/dough ratio. If you feel it’s overly cheesy, you can easily take the cold cheese off. If you’re in the area, and looking for very reasonably priced, good Sicilian pizza...... I’d highly recommend you find time to stop here. This is hands down better than many of the hipster joints popping up in the Pittsburgh area selling Detroit or Sicilian pizzas."
