"First time I ordered a chicken marsala dinner from them it was bland and I tasted more butter and garlic sauce then wine sauce. So I called and spoke to the owner about the meal I received and he said Thank you for the feedback and that he would look into it with the cook that was on that night so he reimbursed us which I thought was nice so me and my wife gave them a second chance since they are right down the road from us. So I ordered the same thing again but with more marsala wine in it...it wasn't much different then the first time still bland and tasteless which was even more dissapointing then the last time! My wife ordered the scallops and they smelt and had a strong stench of Ammonia which then I new they were old scallops and it could of got us seriously sick or could of killed us..I was not happy and very angry because that's when I realized this place is a kitchen nightmare. Another thing that ticked me off was that they would'nt even give me a side salad with my meal because its only for eat in the restaraunt only not pick up? But they told me they could make me a $11 dollar cobb salad instead? I have never in my life been refused a side salad that is included with the meal on a pick up order? Obviously after this second attempt I come to realize the new owners are careless about the food quality and they are not looking out for the customer or looking over what the cook is sending out. We are not the type of people that like to leave bad reviews we would just never go back to eat there, but after the bad scallops we wanted people to be cautious of this place so no one gets sick. We are very disappointed since it was close to our home and us being new to the area would of been a great takeout or dine in choice. This Place seems dirty, very overpriced, and signs show its not a very clean establishment. Will not be going back"
"Note: This is for the new Merola's. We had been to the old Granite Farm twice and enjoyed it. We tried Merola's Granite Farm for breakfast this morning. Service was slow at best. The server took 2 of our 3 party's drink orders and walked away. Took almost 5 minutes to get her attention to let her know. The server did not know they were out of what the third person ordered to drink, so it took even longer. Our food took an inordinate amount of time to come. Part of my husband's breakfast was cold. My daughter's breakfast was the only breakfast that came out hot. We think they messed up her order and let ours sit while they re-made hers. Mine was warm, just not hot. My food was good, but the potato cakes (fried mashed potatoes) were warm and bland. The baked beans were not bad - they were better than canned straight from the can but not homemade. My grilled corn muffin was good. The bacon was crisp. My Bailey's iced coffee could have used a dash of espresso to taste the coffee. My daughter found her linguica to be overly fatty. Other than my husband's cold home fries, he liked his food. He was not happy with the wait to have his Keno ticket picked up - he lost a game due to it. All of this was not due to lack of staff. There were plenty of servers, just not attentive ones. We heard several conversations among them trying to figure out orders and miscalculated checks. I wish them well, but unless we hear from people whose opinion we trust that it's improved, doubt we will be back."
"Last meal. It's getting a complete overhaul I hear. Whelp for relic, it was good. Good food. Foods didn't feel fresh. Great, kind accommodating services, ok atmosphere. Great light. Pretty mural. Cannot wait to see it transformed. Food - Large portions. Very bland. Refills on coffee was nice. Kids plastic cups are always a good touch. Water should really be brought to the table at every meal. Water glasses were fun. The plastic extra cups were cheesy. Bathroom was rough. Looking forward to the remodel and upgrades."
"Went for dinner with the family. We ordered the fisherman's platter, french toast, deluxe nachos, and fried clams. Food was good and plentiful. Seafood tasted fresh! And the server was nice and friendly."
