Reviews of Cross Keys Café
"We ordered 4 hot dogs on December 5th. We just sat down to start to eat one and my mom (in the bathroom) asked for one. Not joking, 30 seconds later, the women refused to make a 5th hot dog because it was 3:01 pm. She pointed to the sign and said they weren't serving them anymore. It took her maybe 2 minutes to heat the hot dogs from the original order up. We had only got them a minute before. Absolutely bad service. NOTE: THEY DONT CLOSE AT 3PM. ONLY THEIR "SPECIALS" ARE UNTIL 3PM. Not 3:01..."
"Food was fine enough, but the server had a terrible attitude and refused to give my mother service despite literally just serving the four of us and a whole separate group. Spend your money somewhere else where it's wanted."
"The very rude women debbie working here refused to serve my wife a hot dog because it was 3:01 yet she served the very next group of three women. With no problems. I will never eat at this place again. She is now yelling st me to leave for writing a bad review and asking for her name"
"We took our 11 year old son to the Musuem as he is a huge Revolutionary War buff. Being newly diagnosed as Celiac, we cautioned him that we may not be able to find anything "safe" to eat as a quick snack in the cafe. Much to our astonishment, the menu board offered several options of gluten free items, as well as a section on a shelf of gluten free snacks. Price was expected given the location, but his excitement at eating a gluten free personal pizza was well worth it. We alerted the woman at the counter that he had celiac and she was extremely careful to ensure no cross contamination - and he didn't get sick! Thank you for offering these gluten free items and for making an amazing musuem experience end in an even more positive way!"
"Unfortunately I did not have the best service here. Staff was busy orienting new members of staff at the time I visited so I waited several minutes to purchase a coffee and a cooler item. This is a nice space with decent foods to purchase such as soups and sandwiches. I just had a blah experience, one I don’t want to replicate."
