Reviews of K'Far Cafe Philadelphia
"K’far This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Rittenhouse. My wife and I like to go midweek when the crowds are thinner, and you can sit back and enjoy your time. It can get busy on a weekend, so order ahead or be prepared to wait There are so many excellent choices here. Our favorites include the borekas, the Jerusalem bagels, and the seasonal toasts. A Boreka trio contains one of their flavors, Feta scallion, potato, and butternut squash. We love the feta and potato and are not fans of the butternut squash. Word to wise. Even though they cost $4, the trio cuts you a deal for $10. I was surprised that you can’t swap them out if you want two feta and one potato; then, the discount does not carry through. Who knew? The smoked salmon Jerusalem bagel is excellent—the perfect crunch of the bagel, fresh salmon, cream cheese, cukes, and red onion. The marinated labneh is a great pick. One bagel and a trio of dips. Za'atar, Sumac, and Honey Pistachio The avocado and labneh toast are delicious, and the heirloom tomato is excellent in season. Overall, it’s a great spot and something for everyone. There’s a large selection of beverages to choose from, both hot and cold."
"Update 6.5 egg and cheese was pretty good as a breakfast or lunch. Squash boreka also pretty good. Next time try smoked salmon bagel. 6 but worth trying again for sure. Strong rec from multiple people. Jurselum bagels were really good but got the only avacado one which felt a little plain. Egg and cheese or smoked salmon is likely to be 7+"
"I ordered in store for takeout. Pink lemonade and salmon bagel. The lemonade is not overly sweet (in the best way). The bagel is almost like a hybrid between a bagel and a cracker (also in the best way). The wait time was fine post work lunch rush (Tuesday at 1pm). People were getting sat for walk-ins pretty quick. Perfect place for a lightish lunch. If I really had to pick one gripe it's that there's not a great waiting area for to go orders, but I will definitely be putting this into my regular lunch rotation regardless. $22 for drink and most expensive sandwich on the menu including tip."
"Best sticky bun and pastries I've ever had. The pistacho sticky bun had this incredible, moist, and delicious dough with a beautiful sticky toffee exterior. My favorite pastries were actually the marzipan challah Danish and the feta scallion boreka though. Really nice atmosphere, good place to pop in for take out or dine in for a nice light brunch with a loved on. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating."
"An Israeli cafe & bakery nestled in Rittenhouse Square that is a must try when in Philly! The ambiance is lovely if you are looking to dine in know that it fills up fast so get there early or prepare for a little wait. You must try any of the toasts since their bread and baked goods are the stars of the show! Can’t say enough about the whipped ricotta toast the flavors are extremely complimentary and they change the fruit topping depending on the season."
