"I have had 8 miscarriages including an ectopic and chemical pregnancy. I was with Drexel and then they closed, then I went to RMA (they were not good at all unless you are just doing IVF!) I then learned about Dr Check! Total game changer. Most of the negative reviews are because they are doing out of state monitoring. Which is an option but I declined it and happy I did! 1 it’s more money and 2 you have to deal with other outside labs and people who aren’t in the office so obviously there is lag time. I have been a patient since December. We are on my 2nd monitoring of my cycle. With in a short time they found out my thyroid is not where it should! They also confirmed my follicles are not getting to a mature size when they should be. They also found that I am ovulating way later than I should be!! They have me on the right medication and follow up and through! If you can do monitoring in the office I highly suggest you do! Yes I don’t see dr check but all the nurses there talk to him and call back. So fare I have had no issues and feel like this is my time to have a baby!! I fully trust in their process. Also yea medications can be pricey. My insurance won’t cover it, however there are places that donate fertility medication. That’s how I saved $600 to $2100 so fare !! I hope you at least give Dr Check a try! Some people have great experiences and some have bad experiences anywhere you go. But from someone who has struggled and been through hell and back, I highly recommend him. I will follow up once I have my bundle of joy!!"
"This post is about 16 years overdue. We were unsuccessful trying to conceive a baby for years. We finally made it over the 12 week hump and announced, but miscarried a week later. We went through an IVF cycle or two with South Jersey Fertility. I am in zero way bashing them. We felt my wife was being over medicated and a family member recommended Dr. Check. We went to them, and he recommended a slight change in medication. My wife had low mucus. After finding that out, we did IUI, and she was pregnant! They monitored her closely throughout the pregnancy…and our girl was born. Healthy and beautiful. After that, my wife became pregnant again (naturally). We kept close eye on her mucus and numbers for our second. We were blessed again. Our 3rd was a complete surprise and again we monitored. We are forever grateful to the practice and Dr. Check."
"I went to 4 different centers to get pregnant…no success. My son is 20 now and cannot thank Dr. Check, staff and God for this gift!!! The staff is great and accommodating. We looked online and Dr. Check had the most successful pregnancies. We looked at SART(society for assisted reproductive technology) I feel as though we wouldn’t have our son today if it wasn’t for Dr. Check and staff!"
"Dr. Check is a great guy, but unfortunately 98% of communication and interaction is through the nurses, and they often either don’t call back for days, have different answers, or have impatient attitudes. Talking to the doctor at all is a fee each time, and can take weeks to book, but he always answers all of your questions. Unfortunately I had several cycles that were throwaways because I didn’t get calls back from nurses in time, or at all. Ultrasound orders weren’t sent, and voicemails and emails went unanswered. I’d miss medications or monitoring because I wouldn’t get a call back with instructions in time. Other times I would be told to do one thing by one nurse, and days later have another tell me that it did not make sense, and I must have misheard. Yet I took notes. This also happened once with billing. They said that they’d charge less for a cycle that was a throwaway because I didn’t hear back, and then said that the conversation never happened. If you have more than a set number of tests, you get charged a “monitor fee” of several hundred dollars. Which isn’t right when they don’t get back to you for days. Communication was a constant battle, and with something this time sensitive, that’s stressful and inefficient. More than one nurse had an attitude, and more than once, I was in tears because I just didn’t hear back in time or had them tell me that they never said something that I know they did. As much as I liked the doc, I can’t recommend this clinic due to the other staff. It feels like they have so many patients that you’re just a faceless number to them. If you don’t call them multiple times, you’ll never hear from them again. They do not check in. I didn’t feel like many of them cared at all about helping me have success."
"To be in this line of work, one needs to be sympathetic, empathetic, compassionate and caring. The staff were all of the above and more. My consult with Dr. Check was over 3 hours. I did not feel rushed and my questions were answered. I don’t think I spent more than 10 minutes with my last reproductive endocrinologist at my last practice. The young blonde at the front desk was super rude to me a few times but she is my only negative encounter and it while be unfair for me to give them a bad review because of one miserable employee. Everyone else from the nurses, providers, anesthesiologist, phlebotomists and ultrasound techs are phenomenal. There’s also a Facebook support group that is super helpful and helped ease my anxiety when I was freaking out. The staff also engages in the Facebook group and will even answer questions WAY after business hours. I would say though, this practice will NOT hold your hands and walk you through everything. You need to take initiative and keep your own records together. You need to email them a lot and have to be patient. They see people all over the country and not the best at record keeping so things can get hectic. HOWEVER, they will get you pregnant and I’ll honestly put up with anything if I can reach my goal. Seriously, can that blonde girl be fired already? Many people don’t like her and her attitude. The redhead older receptionist is amazing!"
