"Hovis is now my new, favorite auto parts store! They just moved to the Irwin area and this shop and it's staff are absolutely great. I had to make custom fuel lines for my 96' Chevy Blazer after the originals rotted away and prebent kits from the rock auto didn't fit. They have steel lines for steering/fuel/brakes in every size and length you can possibly imagine. Many times I got stuck in my repair project where I needed some bizarre/specialty fitting or adapter. A trip to Hovis would always solve ALL of my problems. I would tell them what I need, they walk in the back and have it, no matter how ridiculous/bizarre the item is. I mean, I needed a very specific/special part (fuel line adapter) with an o-ring to prevent leaks in the fuel fuel filter that could fit onto my new, threaded flare nuts. I didn't even know the part existed and spend an hour looking for it on the internet for something like it. Went to Hovis in the morning, described what it was, associated walks in the back and had something a minute later that was exactly what I was looking for. If they don't have a part, they can typically have it in the very next day ready for pick up. Overall, great store and employees more competent than the typical big-box auto parts stores. They are a little pricier on certain items and I also wish they had an online catalog/ordering system. However, the service and accessibility to specialty parts is unparalleled. I highly recommend them for auto projects, especially though involving custom work, special parts, and unknown factors. My Blazer is now back on the road and ready for inspection. I don't think I could have done it (or the project would have taken very long to complete) without having access to such a convenient auto parts store. Friendly towards an amateur, too; I never did fuel lines prior to this and they were very helpful towards guiding me to the right parts/fittings I needed to get the job done."
