"Dr. Bishop is very good and thorough doctor, that listens to kids and parents. Very good with kids. But the office people that now work there since UPMC took them over and evidently UPMC's new policies are ridiculous. This pediatric office has been there doctors for all of our kids' lives (7&10). Unfortunately UPMC bought it out, and screwed it up."
"I agree with all the people on here that said the things about Hope pediatrics. They are my children’s pediatrician. I am trusted them allowed them to physically exam them and prescribe medication for them test for them, put their hands on them and it was the worst thing I ever did I will now be changing doctors they told blatant lies a to my landlord said I was allowing my dog to poop and pee in the parking lot without cleaning it up all the while when I do walk my dog, which is not in the parking lot I have poop bags at all times in my pocket for cleaning up after our dog and I’ve taught my children do that I was taught from four years old on to take care of my pets that way and I am no longer trusting these people with my children after they called my landlord, with lies she said wasn’t going to renew my lease to me anymore, because of their lies and defamation of my character, which is totally liable in a lawsuit which I’m considering doing against them please run far away from these people as you can. I have not ever walked my dog in the parking lot Nor have I ever let her poop or pee there I’ve cut through there which takes 1 minute 5 seconds I timed it to get to the fire station to get to main street to take the walk with my dog. It takes less actually when my children do it because they’re not handicapped. This whole place is horrible. Couldn’t do these reviews they rip people off insurance I believe that 100% and they spread wild and false and vicious rumors against you. Do not use them as your doctor. Someone from their office was yelling at me yesterday and didn’t even have the fortitude or the manners to call out to me to speak to me by name, my kids being a patient that she should definitely know my name and expect me to answer when she was making me like that get some manners maybe people answer you back. If that’s all they more, they care about twin boys that were born premature in their health and I definitely don’t want them for my children’s pediatricians. They better have a video of my dog pooping and peeing for small claims court with all the video cameras over there cause they’re gonna need it. They can’t just tell lies on people and not prove it."
"Edited to add: After a week of them treating me like a liar, the itemized bill arrived and was for a procedure that never happened. They somehow sent all of my son’s medical and billing information to Dr. Phillip Adams without permission, his office ALTERED IT (my son now has a heart catheter and imaging in his UPMC records, don’t ask me how they managed that with 0 permission after a flu shot), billed for heart imaging that never took place then sent my deductible to debt collectors without ever warning me. Only about a half dozen laws broken and still no apology. $300 BILL AFTER FLU SHOT, go anywhere else. Never had an issue until they charged my insurance over $1,500 dollars two months after a FLU SHOT, $300 bill to me from Dr. Phillip Adams for anesthesia during a FLU SHOT. Phillip Adam’s office actually hung up on me and a Cigna insurance representative once she identified herself, wildly unprofessional. Have had to get insurance and Federal Consumer Protection involved, UPMC/Hope has been worse than useless in even explaining what this outrageous cost is for, one UPMC/Hope representative actually suggested my son was SEDATED FOR A FLU SHOT in their office. So unless you want illegal surprise bills, STAY AWAY. So disgusted, getting as far away as I can after the insurance investigation into this over, my kids will never be back. This is why insurance costs us so much, dirtbags charging $1,500 behind our backs and refusing to say why."
"Recently moved back here from out of state and settled with hope for my 17 month old daughtter. Never has my baby experienced any reaction to shots. This nurse shoved the needle so hard into my babygirls leg that today, the day after my baby girl can't walk. She's been on the couch all day and when she does walk she is actually limping and crying because it hurts so bad. NEVER returning."
"My 10 year old has been going here since she was a newborn. I am please with the services they provide. There will always be pros and cons to every place you go. Hope has always been respectful, great bedside manner, and always fits my babies in when needed in case of an emergency. The only con I have is that there are old school doctors that sometimes don't seem to do as thorough exams than the newer doctors & PA's. They had referred her to Children's to get a consult of my daughter being bigger than her peers and going through her cycle sooner than most. I am a nurse myself and know that a patients history is important to get and get right when dealing with other specialists. Well, we went to Children's and the doctor asked me, personally, her history and said it did not match up with what Hope had in her file. The Children's doctor took my history and believed there was no reason to put my daughter on medication to stop her cycle. We haven't had many issues with Hope and believe they are right for us. They're a good, honest practice. We take our youngest here as well and we have had no issues."
