"I would not recommend this facility for mamas who go through postpartum recovery. I’m a first time mom of a two month old baby who came to the Ivy rehab seeking help with the low back injury - muscles spasm. At my first appointment I got evaluated and received the necessary care. Physical therapist Caroline helped me relax the injured muscles and send me home with a set of exercises to help me keep strengthening those which I’m thankful for. The root cause of the injury was attributed to my body still transitioning from delivering a baby and my joints still being loose because of hormones. I personally don’t like when everything can be just blamed on hormones and so I kept looking for the root cause of my injury. From my mother-in-law I learnt about Diastasis Recti (DR) / a separation of “six-pack” muscles - a condition that some mamas may go through after their delivery. At my second appointment, I asked the same PT Caroline to help me check myself on DR. Caroline wasn’t familiar with the steps of a self-check test and so I pulled those up on my phone for us both to go through them. Ironically enough, I had DR one inch (2 fingers) in length and depths. With that knowledge in mind, my PT assigned me to do regular core strengthening exercises that are, in fact, contradictory for patients with DR. One of them was to lay on my back with my legs lift up to 90 degrees and my arms reaching up. I had weights both in my hands (5lb) and on my legs. On my question if it’s safe for me to do such exercises the answer was yes. And only because I came home and kept doing my own research I figured that my whole second appointment at Ivy rehab was actually harmful for what my current problem is."
"My back, and later my upper trap were in great pain. Jason was super knowledgeable and never ran out of new exercises to build me up and keep things from being boring. I have chronic issues built up over the years, and now I am confident that I have a means to keep them from slowing me down. The whole staff is helpful and very empathetic. I have no reservations from recommending Ivy Art Center."
"Ivy Rehab Art Museum is an amazing place! I feel so lucky to have worked with Rhythm Sampat for a few months. She is so passionate about what she does and is extremely knowledgeable. Thanks to Rhythm, I was able to fully recover from my elbow injury and come back so much stronger...with no more pain! She is amazing, and I am truly grateful for all that she taught me about the importance of taking care of myself, working out, and being a genuinely caring person. Jason, Caroline, Nick, (and Rhythm of course) are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. All four therapists make a great team and have created such a wonderful environment that I truly looked forward to going to each week. I am so grateful for the time I spent with them, and I highly recommend this clinic to all who need care!"
"These guys are fantastic. A highly knowledgeable top notch professional staff. I received excellent care from Jason, a highly skilled experienced therapist, and his team who were attentive to my needs, responsive, caring, and accommodating. Jason put together a program that along with the right balance of encouragement, patience and push resulted in recovery beyond my expectations. I could not have been happier with my improvement. I’ve never seen a team of professionals work so collaboratively to support their clients. The entire office is warm, welcoming, and friendly. I highly recommend this office and team of skilled therapists under the leadership of Clinical Director Jason Bink."
"I have used the services of Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy (originally Excel PT) over the last five years for several different issues. My Rehabilitation Orthopedics physician sent me to them after knee problems. My assigned therapist was Jason Bink. Next, Jason worked with me before and after required shoulder surgery. The most recently the issue was nerve damage and a pretty lengthy cycle of physical therapy. There is excellent team work if your regular therapist is unavailable for your schedule. You receive clear instructions for home exercise and any equipment that may be needed beyond what they supply. The facility is always well supplied and spotless. In summary, if you do the work as a patient you get great results."
