Reviews of Lenape Valley Foundation
"We had nothing but horror stories dealing with private psychiatrists prior to finding Lenape. We entered our son in the partial day program to avoid full-time hospitalization, and the results were phenomenal. The lead psychiatrist was very good - I can’t remember her name, something Italian - and our son’s main care provider was a nurse practicioner named Mary S. who I consider a guardian angel sent from God. I will be forever grateful to them for helping our son through very difficult times when things seemed hopeless."
"God awful. They changed their scheduling to where if you don’t call 6 weeks ahead, you’re out of medication for weeks, maybe even a month. Not sure why they don’t schedule your follow up right after your visit. Do any of you have a clue what people go through without their medication? They used to do emergency doses of controlled substances which they don’t do anymore so every month you have to ration your pills and pray you might get an appointment in the time you’re due for a new script. Completely disorganized company. Don’t go here."
"I VERY STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PEOPLE THAT THIS AGENCY HAS WRONGED TO TAKE TO SOCIAL MEDIA (FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE, TWITTER, GAB, BITCHUTE, RUMBLE, ETC. ) TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW JUST HOW DANGEROUS THIS ORGANIZATION IS. Allison Jenkins is the supervisor of my therapist & absolutely incompetent. She had ordered a psychiatric evaluation of me based on evidence that I was being harassed & stalked which she garnered from my YouTube channel. This isn't the first issue I've had with Lenape Valley March of this year they erroneously petitioned to 302 me which was found to be bogus by the attending psychiatrist of the facility they sent me to. Also while in their care they refused to give me heart medication I required until after my exgirlfriend went to my cardiologist's office & had the cardiologist call to inform them that I needed my prescribed heart medication. Furthermore, they injected me with tranquilizers against my will & against the recommendation of my cardiologist who was very clear that I was to have absolutely no psychiatric medications due to the health implications. This agency is abominable & should be investigated for waste, fraud, & abuse not to mention if anyone has perished at any of their facilities due to negligence."
"I have been a client at Lenape for almost 5 years now and I have nothing but praise for this organization. I have seen everyone I’ve come across treated with respect and dignity. They try to make things as easy as possible on their clients while trying to navigate the insane world of mental health insurance. I have attended programs at both the Doylestown location and the Bristol location and have found the same level of professionalism and compassion at both places. These programs were so helpful, and transportation was provided to and from their facilities. During Covid they started doing video and telehealth appointments, and they continue today. I know their hands are tied in regards to who they can accept because of insurance limitations, but they truly go above and beyond to help those in their care. I hope one day I won’t need them anymore, but for now I’m very thankful they are there."
"My mother drove me twice to Lenape Valley Foundation for counseling. My mom said she doesn't understand what they're doing to help me and yet they always bill my insurance. I told her I have the same impression. It always seemed subpar compared to the other places I went to for counseling and other mental health related issues. After several years, I called a local "warmline" and the peer counselor mentioned that it was Lenape Valley Foundation. I wasn't as concerned though because there is no charge for the use of the warmline service. After the counselor told me I can either keep going in the current problem situation I was telling him about or get away from it, because there were no other options , I knew he was right, at least for the present time. I did mention though that I'm a futurist, and that the future always brings changes, and although some are bad, most have been good, both through social changes and technology and this gives me hope and everyone with a severe problem including those with mental problems need hope. I got no good feedback from him about this In fact he told me it's fine if it works for me but that I should keep my opinions to myself about the future and that he's not interested. His direction in life IS the future, as it is for everyone but he's not imterested in it! Anyway, I couldn't believe my ears. I thought I was telling him something that could possibly help any caller to the warmline. So dont expect to be coddled if you call the warmline. I advise everyone to avoid every part of Lenape Valley Foundation. The people working FOR them need their services. It's a weird place I can't understand. Try Penn Foundation I called there several years ago and the person on the phone seemed very nice."
