"From the moment I stepped in the door for my first evaluation, to the day of my last chemo treatment, and now for my three month check ups, I have been treated with kindness, respect, and compassion at the Armes Cancer Center. Every employee with whom I’ve had contact, even over the phone, has been professional and helpful. I had pancreatic cancer and had my surgery Cleveland so I could be with family during my recovery. Then cane home to Findlay for my treatments. Dr. Thomas is my oncologist at Armes and he is phenomenal! I never feel rushed with him. He asks questions, listens to my answers AND lets ME ask questions as well. He gladly consulted with my Cleveland surgeon on my treatments and kept contact with him throughout the months of chemotherapy. I will say, that there is often a wait for me on the day if the appt, BUT it is well worth it to me, because Dr. Thomas takes time with his patients. He is personable and professional. Not only did he arrange my chemo and the medicines, but worked hard to find the right meds and amounts to help with my nausea during chemo and the days following. The nurses who administered my chemo were excellent. They knew exactly what they were doing and helped me during my all day therapy sessions. Their compassion and positive natures made a difference each session. I am grateful to have such a well equipped, and well staffed cancer center nearby. It made all the difference for me. "I was hoping for more care or interest in a diagnosis. The doc I saw wouldn’t let me talk or ask questions that were in detail. For my follow up there was still no diagnosis and said my problems weren’t anything they could deal with. Didn’t want to see me again to recheck stuff at all. Horrible experience"

"The manager held my chemo over my head. Not going to give it to me while my cancer was growing cause I didn't like my doctor. It was an experience no cancer patient should have to face. I now go to Ohio state and the drive every 3 weeks is worth it! To know my doc cares more about me than my doc down here who was a wait and see doc Maybe that's why I'm metastatic now."
