"I am a mental health counselor in the Philadelphia area (specializing in children) and I completed a 2 year certificate program in Mindfulness Based Play Family Therapy (MBPFT) offered by Dottie Higgins Klein. She has been offering this valuable program online "before it was cool" locally and internationally for many years. The depth of information covered is more than I can describe. The courses included a deep understanding of typical and atypical childhood development, how to notice signs and symptoms of trauma, anxiety, family discord and more in the child's natural language: imaginative play. As well as practical tools and strategies for working with parents and children in "talk time." I had a full caseload of children and family clients while I participated in this course and the information helped me with very complex cases involving high conflict divorce, grief / loss and more. It is an honor to see children on a daily basis reach healing and integration through the use of MBPFT."
