"Dr. Nichols is phenomenal! They helped us address our baby’s breastfeeding issues as well as some lingering body tension baby was holding from birth. My baby who had been combo fed, mostly with a bottle and exclusive pumping, was able to learn to successfully nurse with Dr. Nichols’ help. Patient, kind and with practical, actionable steps for even the most sleep deprived new parents, I strongly believe that the exercises they taught us helped lay the foundation for my child rolling over early (which was the strong foundation for them hitting other gross motor skills early!). I will bring all my babies to this practice!"
"Dr Nichols is an attentive and knowledgeable physical therapist. He made me feel very comfortable from the moment I set up the appointment, and I could tell that he takes the time and extra effort to get to know his patients and their specific concerns. The visits are problem-focused, never rushed, and very useful in terms of understanding my body. Everyone could benefit from a doctor as caring and invested in his patients."
"We were referred to Dr. Bryan by our IBCLC when my daughter was 3 wks old. He is the reason we were able to continue breastfeeding. In addition to treating my daughter's tension post tongue tie release, he was able to provide the support, information and gentle encouragement I needed to get through the early stages of post tongue tie release challenges (nipple shield wean, nursing positioning, baby gas, exercises to do at home, etc). He was also incredibly sensitive to our situation, as I had a traumatic delivery and have an older child who had a tongue tie and we had a rough journey with her and breastfeeding. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a pre/post tie release PT. He has an abundance of knowledge in his area of expertise plus both personal and professional experience related to breastfeeding which is so helpful. I always left our sessions feeling more confident that I could do this if it was what I wanted for our family."
"After my second son was born we were told that he most likely has a tongue tie. I didn’t have any issues with breastfeeding and he has been gaining weight but I could tell his latch is not perfectly wide as it was with my firstborn. I started to read the information about tongue ties and it all looked very scary, specially the potential consequences. I was ready to schedule a procedure asap. Fortunately I have a friend who had a very tough experience with tongue tie and she told me that the procedure itself doesn’t always resolve everything. Ideally the baby needs to be evaluated by a few specialists before making the decision and especially the physical therapist and speech pathologist. In some cases doing simple exercises may do the trick. And this is how I found Dr. Bryan. I am very happy with our experience, he was very gentle with our 2 weeks old son. He walked us through all the options as well as trustworthy research, and he showed us a couple of simple exercises we can do at home and some gentle massage to help relieve some tension in his shoulders. Overall it was a relief to have a confirmation that the tongue tie is not all that scary and that each case is individual rather than just do an expensive procedure. I wish more doctors had the same approach!"
"We met Dr. Bryan at an infant massage class that he was teaching. My daughter was born 5 weeks early and presented with her right side strained and had feeding/ latching issues since birth. My daughter would keep her tongue up to the roof of her mouth, would not open her mouth when feeding, was unable to latch to the breast, would put the nipple of the bottle below her tongue, did not know how to suck/swallow properly. When meeting Dr, Bryan at the infant massage class we learned that he has experience in all the areas my daughter was struggling in. He spent time with us after the class to talk about my daughter and what issues we were facing. He does in home visits as well as in office visits. We opted for his in office visits. Dr. Bryan has been so caring and gentle with my daughter. He has truly helped her so much in the last few weeks that we have seen him. She’s now latching to the bottle properly, drinking all of her milk without any issues, no longer putting her tongue to the roof, etc. He helped with the straining as well as taught me how to help her with different stretches I can do with her, positioning while feeding her etc. There are very few Physical Therapists who have experience with infants let alone the issues that my daughter was facing. We were very fortunate to have met Dr. Bryan who has helped my daughter make such big strides in correcting feeding, latching, and other issues she presented with since birth. We highly recommend you see him if you have any concerns at all with your little one! He is extremely supportive of new mom/parents and will do all that he can to help!"
