"When I first met Mary, I was in denial about needing help. She eased me into the process by just listening and helping me take things in stride. While the process is not ever easy and rarely comfortable, Mary always ended the session by highlighting growth and positivity. I have seen Mary for nearly four years now and have made incredible strides. She helped to me find myself so I could start actually taking care of myself. She has encouraged me to step outside what is comfortable and been the safety net when I needed it. The best thing about Mary is that her love shines through. There is no doubt in my mind (or soul) that she truly cares about her clients. She has never made me feel judged or ashamed, but has helped me to forgive myself. I like to think of Mary as a mom helping her baby to walk and me as that baby. At the beginning, she held both hands and slowly walked with me. There were days that she had to practically carry me. As I learned more and began to trust myself, she started to let go but remained close enough that she could catch me if I fell. She was there to cheer me every step of the way. The smallest step was often accompanied by loud cheers until I was finally able to walk on my own and cheer for myself. Now that I am running, I don't see Mary on a weekly basis anymore, but I know that she is never far away and that she is still cheering me on from the sidelines."
