"I found her to be cold, brusque, and borderline mean. She didn’t explain ultrasound test results, just that I needed to have a uterine biopsy. I’ve had one before, while it wasn’t pleasant, it was tolerable. When Dr Chillapalli did it, I was writhing in pain. Even with 3 natural childbirths, I was never in that much pain. The lab results seemed to indicate that there wasn’t really enough tissue, and that it wasn’t labeled as to where it came from (body part). She didn’t call me with results, neither did the nurse. When I called the office, the receptionist told me, “they didn’t find anything”. Then hung up. No plan for next appointment, nothing. I’m never going back to that office. There’s more to the story about the nurse. But I don’t want to post it publicly. Not only do I “not recommend” her, I actively recommend against her."

"I’m 36 weeks pregnant and have been regularly examined by the doctors at Temple (they’re on a rotatation). They have all put me at ease and made me feel comfortable with the exception of Dr. Chillapalli. Not only is her demeanor cold and uninviting, but she has on 2 occasions now suggested I get an additional costly ultrasound to ensure that my baby is fine, despite the fact that every regularly scheduled ultrasound, doctors appointment, blood and urine test has come out perfectly normal for me and my baby. I have zero health complications. When asked (twice) what her reasoning was regarding me getting an additional ultrasound she brought up that I gained too much weight during my pregnancy. Every other doctor (including her colleagues at Temple) have told me that the only reason to worry or go in for an additional ultrasound is if I’m having abnormal symptoms or measuring too big, which I am not (I am 1 centimeter too big and the standard for getting additional checkups is 3 centimeters too big in case there’s extra amniotic fluid or other health complications). When confronted about her rationale, she had no other explanation for her recommendation except for her biased fat shaming opinion of me. The first time she examined me she didn’t tell me how many centimeters I was “over”. I had to find out after the fact that I was not in danger. That day was anxiety ridden. Ultrasounds cost over $1000 per copay, and cause unecessary stress on me and my baby. I am calling her supervisor to make sure this doesn’t happen to other women. I have asked (now twice) for her to be removed as my doctor. The second time (today), was a surprise to me when she entered the room. I was already half naked, waiting to be examined. After our interaction mentioned above I needed to be examined due to normal pains I was experiencing. No other doctor was available and so I made the decision to have her examine me. She was forceful with her hands, making me feel violated. It was obvious she was displeased with me too after questioning her recommendations and setting my boundaries. I don’t recommend this doctor, she does not know how to be sympathetic to women’s needs and is basing her recommendations off of her own opinion of how women should look, not what they and their babies need. UPDATE: my concerns were addressed by HR and her supervisor. Thank you"
