Hot Topic

"I work in retail so I get how stressful it can be- but I tried to buy a 12 dollar shirt , I asked employee if why it came up full price and she got all frustrated with me. It’s not my fault. As someone with autism it made me feel very confused and stressed out that she was upset, even though it was on the store for having the 12$ tee card in there. Then, on my way out the buzzer went off. Super overstimulated already, and a group of girls pointed at me and said “ITS HER, NOT US!” and a different employee helped me. She was super sweet! But then same blue haired employee that checked me out earlier was rly weirded out by it, so it seemed. She just forgot to take the plastic tag thing off. I apologized many times over and over and she was oh yeah oopsies!!! Like wow thanks for embarrassing me like that. I literally held back tears. You could at least check before sending me off. :( Another guy got sent to the checkout counter cause a different employee forgot to untag his items right before I exited. I *love* this store and will be coming back, but probably with more anxiety just based on my unfortunate experience. Take this with a grain of salt. I’m not trying to be rude, just sharing my personal experience."

"Hot Topic is usually staffed by people who seem to hate working there. This one is not. From the friendly girl greeting people at the door whose name I think was Ashley, to the helpful manager and the wonderful cashier, I had never previously known that Hot Topic could even be a pleasant experience."

"My daughters and I love coning here. They have a variety of items and some of the cutest clothes. I am happy to see that they now carry plus size clothing, now waiting for small kids clothing. We usually have great customer service but this last time we didn't get any help or acknowledgement which is fine. We did, however, have a great checkout person. She was super friendly and was very informative about upcoming things. This is definitely a place to check out especially for anime lovers."
