"Dave is a true artíst! I love my Grateful Dead "Ship of Fools" tattoo. Already thinking of the next tat. Definitely ask for Dave if you come here—he is the best!"
"I did not get a tattoo by this establishment. I inquired about one. The person I spoke to over the phone name was, Mizz. She advised that she was experienced with red ink. I told her I still wanted to see and speak with other artist, but she strongly insisted she was the right one to do the tattoo I wanted. Here is the story - Today, Tuesday the 23rd I went to another tattoo shop and met an artist and had a consultation, because this is my second tattoo and I wanted to meet a few artist from different shops. The artist was very kind, professional and transparent. Took me to their station for the consultation. During my consultation they provided me the name of the ink they would be using since red ink is suck a big deal. They also showed me the tools they would use for the project. Perfect consultation. I advised the artist I had one more consultation with another tattoo shop, Northern Liberty Tattoo. On this same day I then, called Northern Liberty shop and, Mizz advised I could come in for a consultation. When I arrived she greeting me cold. I asked if we could go to her station to complete the consultation and she stated, “ No. here is fine”. Here meaning right in front near the register. I thought that was rude, but I figured may be she is having a bad day. The unprofessionalism kept getting worse. Every question I asked was answered with a mean, aggressive answer. When I had enough of the harsh treatment, I told her I really don't feel comfortable and I am going to leave. She yelled, “BYE! Find some one else”. and was aggressively walking behind me as if she wanted to attack me while yelling insults. Which I ignored on my way out. Horrible experience. I believe everything happens for a reason. After that nightmare of a meeting, I started reading the reviews about professionalism not being a strong trait that artist have at this establishment. I can only speak on the artist I dealt with name, Mizz very aggressive, unprofessional and clearly can not hide she is having a bad day and is an awful human."
"I absolutely love visiting Northern Liberty Tattoo. The artists are so welcoming, helpful and skilled. I’ve done multiple walk-ins and they always nail it. Mizz does an especially wonderful job. I’d recommend her and this shop to anyone!"
"I had a really terrible experience with Dwayne. I asked for a simple, minimalistic design and got a big black blob on my head. I expressed how unhappy I was with the tattoo the next day to the shop owner, and at first he was helpful and offered to pay for the removal of the tattoo. But when I emailed him to follow up he became rude, changed the removal business from a well- established business to a brand new place an hour outside of the city with hardly any reviews/examples on their instagram. This tattoo is on MY HEAD, it's very understandable to want a professional with tons of experience to do the removal. The owner also emailed me asking me to take down my yelp review... which was a major red flag to me. I would advise anyone considering this tattoo shop to go somewhere else. Their artists are mediocre and their customer service is horrible. attached is a reference photo of what I wanted and a photo of what I got."
"Not the greatest place for a tattoo, I got a tattoo with Dwyane @wavydraww and it was less than exceptional. Lines were crowded, shading was off, trace lines were tattooed on to me. He did such as bad job that when I requested for a touch up he denied giving me one and actually gave me my money back. At least he gave me my money so that I can go to someone else. Now unfortunately I have to get it covered by another artist. Would not recommend this place to anyone on getting a tattoo."
