"Women working in the store are so rude. I asked for an exception on return because I was one day past the window and had a baby in the return timeframe. She said “a lot of people have things going on”. Dang at least say congrats or something. Every time I go in the people working there are unfriendly and rude. I’ll drive to Princeton to shop just for a better experience… they are friendly and helpful at that store."
"Awful !!! I walked in with a pair of jeans to exchange. Well ,,, Olivia is following me around the store like I stole something . Talked to the store manager. .. she basically shook her head and said. That’s her job .. bad attitudes. Awful customer service ."
"I went in shopping for christmas gifts…. I guess you could say I am not a tall skinny blonde girl. So no one greeted me but was staring at me the whole time, when other people were greeted and helped. Me and an employee almost ran into each other and she said “sorry” with a dirty look. When I checked out, no more than 10 words were spoke to me. And the cashier was laughing, looking at someone behind me who I can confidently assume was another coworker. I can only imagine how many other people have been treated this way, disgusting. I will not be giving my money to Anthropologie anymore and will be telling everyone I know how terrible this business treats people."
"People are talking about customer service, but as soon as my family came inside the store, the ladies never greeted us once, or said "hello can I help you." Then, one women, (caucasian & white hair) followed me around the store, and at one point, she took the clothes out of my hand and said "you can try them in the dressing room." I went up to her and told her, she shouldn't do that next time, she said she knew she was wrong, and apologized. I know the clothes are expensive, cause a shirt is like $100, but don't take clothes out of my hand if your not doing it to any one else. Its a shame, since the clothes are cute, and the sale wasn't bad, but the experience gave me Pretty Women, "Big mistake! " vibes."
"I shop here frequently and the selection of lounge and intimate wear has gradually increased compared to when they first opened. It is understandable that there is only so much space to accommodate some items of this nature, not all. Unfortunately, the staff here is hit and miss. Much more often than not the encounters with individuals choosing to be snobby, shortcomings in training in regards to sale policies, or treating customers as if you are not worth their time is commonplace here. Yesterday I was there and had a genuinely great experience with one of the floor associates. She checked if any additional sizing was available in the back and told me that one of my items could be ordered online and shipped to me. I would have preferred that she handled my sale at checkout because the man working at the cash register was one of the worst employees I have encountered at this location. His treatment of my purchase as a whole was as if I was NOT spending nearly enough for it to be worth his time. Yesterday Anthropologie was running an extra 25% off all sale items. Three of my *six* items were from the sale table at the back of the store. The other three were full priced garments. To further drive the point home, there was a hard to miss banner across the back wall emblazoned with "SALE". When I attempted to pay with cash for my sale items - two small packages of organic snack bites and an oil diffuser- the employee told me they could not accept cash until tomorrow. That was fine, so I took out my credit card. However, when I looked at the total on the credit card processor screen, I noticed that the extra 25% off was not applied to the oil diffuser, but it was to the two $2.95 snack packs. I asked him why the discount was not reflected on the oil diffuser and he answered very matter of fact, "Because it is not a clothing, accessory, or shoe item." When I reminded him that the sale sign at the front indicated the inclusion of all sale items, he retorted this asinine statement that I "chose an item that is not a clothing, accessory, or shoe". And I replied, "So the fact that I brought these from the table in the back that are all sale items, two of which are food, means that the oil diffuser isn't part of the sale?" Keep in mind the sign that greets the customer at the entrance showed "Enjoy an extra 25% off sale items". Basically there were no exclusions. The worker rolled his eyes and said, "I'll give it to you this time, but the sale is only for clothing, accessories, and shoes." What, did he think I would be so focused on the $.70 that came off of the snacks, yet not notice the extra $4.00 or $5.00 that didn't come off of the oil diffuser? Or was it the fact that I prevented him from pocketing the larger value? It really begs the question. Oh, and because one of my items needed to be ordered online, I spared him from bagging one less item. Oh the horror! It's not hard to be friendly and exercise customer service. Try it sometime, buddy!"
